Some people have said that the donation system announced today wouldn't be fair for people who can't play enough to save up the eggs that need to be donated to unlock all the tiers. We don't know the total amount each person needs to donate, but as an example let's say it's 100 eggs total to unlock all the tiers for each player.

My suggestion is that if someone hasn't unlocked all the tiers at the end of the month an option should appear for them to donate a percentage of their total egg count, maybe 5-10% total. So if you have only been online enough to collect 80 eggs and can't unlock all the tiers with the time you have left you donate 4-8 eggs instead and you still have 72-76 left to spend.

I think leaving this option unavailable until the end of the month will encourage players to donate normally throughout the month just so they can unlock the tiers for themselves earlier, but it also lets people who only play infrequently participate and get event items. If it's a percentage rather than a set amount it will also encourage players to donate earlier in the month instead of at the very end, since anyone that's been playing a lot and saving up eggs will lose a lot more eggs by donating a percentage instead of a flat amount.
