Welcome everyone, to my third cat adoptables thread! Yeah, yeah, I know, you’re probably gettin’ tired of these by now, but I had WAY too much fun playing around with this base (which I totally made on accident whoops). Hence, Munchkin Mania was born.
Now, let me give you a little background on my experience here, and what this thread is going to be as a whole. Firstly, the first thread I ever ran was GenetiCats, a genetics based adopt thread run in joint with an old friend, using their bases for art. After that became far too much to manage, I moved onto Pretty Kitties, which were mostly just my playing around with colors and enjoying myself. Here, at Munchkin Mania, I plan to combine these two elements!
By using some genetics aspects, I will be able to provide you with a breedable adopt, one that uses genetics that make actual sense! This means, that when you breed two cats together, the kittens will adhere to real-life genetics!
However, because I am not too thrilled with the constant need to roll RNG for 30 different alleles, I will be focusing on the ones that are VISIBLE within the parent cats! Because I’m going to be doing this, certain aspects of kittens may be decided randomly based on my choices within the design, and others will be perfectly adhering to genetics.
Now- to explain this a little bit better, a completed strand of cat coat color genetics looks a little something like this:
XX/LL/BB/XOXO/DD/DmDm/AA/McMc/SpSp/TaTa/II/WbWb/EE/CC/WsWs
In order, these alleles are in charge of:
Gender/Coat Length/Coat Black Pigment/Coat Red Pigment/Dilution/Caramelization/Agouti/Mackeral or Classic Tabby/Spotted Tabby/Ticked Tabby/Silvering/Wideband/Coat Amber Pigmentation/Colorpointing/White Spotting
Now, when I chose to make an adopt, I start with the present color. Take, for example, a Cinnamon Classic Longhaired Tabby Tom.
All I need to know about this cat’s genetics is that he is a:
XY/ll/blbl/XoY/D[x]/[x][x]/A[x]/mcmc/spsp/tata/ii/[x][x]/E[x]/C[x]/wsws
This means only that he is Male, Longharied, Cinnamon [no red], not dilute with a possibility of carrying, unknown caramelization genes, agouti with a possibility of carrying, classic tabby, not spotted tabby, not ticked tabby, not silvered, unknown wideband genes, not amber with a possibility of carrying, not colorpoint with a possibility of carrying, and not white spotted!
These [x] genes, are unknown. When this Cinnamon Classic Longhaired Tabby Tom is bred, those genes are up to my liberty to use however I want. I might use the known gene, as in the case of the D[x] for example, or I might use the unknown gene, depending what I want out of the kittens.
If you would like your cat’s incomplete genetics strand, please ask! I’m happy to provide it for you.
Another important thing to note about these adopts- they are all MUNCHKINS! This means that they are cats with a natural form of dwarfism, carrying the gene Mkmk! This gene will be the same on every cat, and will hence not appear in the list of genes. As of now, I also only have longhaired bases, and as such, the ll gene will be present on all cats.

AKA, The Breeding Cages
To breed two munchkins together, you must fill out the following form! In addition to that, you will have to pay a fee, different depending on what you want from your litter! This is to cover the time it takes me to create and design all of the offspring from your litter[s].
To breed with another user’s munchkin, you must speak with them! If you both agree (on a price which is to be sent to them, or free), then both of you must approve the breeding, and I will continue on as normal. I recommend not approving the breeding until payment has been received!
Mollies can breed once a week, maximum. They can only breed a total of 4 times in their lifespan!
Breeding Types and Fees:
- Basic Breeding -
Costs 500 SB, produces one kitten
- Enhanced Breeding -
Costs 1200 SB, produces two kittens
- Amplified Breeding -
Costs 2400 SB, produces three kittens
- Advanced Breeding -
Costs 5000 SB, produces four kittens
- Bonus Bushel -
Costs an extra 1000 SB, secures one trait on any litter of kittens of any size
[ex, secure the dilute gene on all kittens, resulting in blue, lilac, fawn, cream, caramel, taupe, or apricot kittens]
- Random Roll -
Costs an extra 1000 SB, creates any one kitten in the litter who does not adhere to the mother or father’s genes
[ex, the mother is black and the father is black, you can have a kitten with red genetics born]

AKA, The Custom Creator
Here, you can create your own custom Munchkin! This design does not have to be one that could occur in real life!
This means that you can use your neon colored OC, if wished. However, in the case of a custom that does not adhere to normal genetics, I will ask you to work with me on creating a genetic line for them that will allow me to breed them to other munchkins!
If you are wanting to create a custom munchkin that is not an already existing character, ie me creating you an entirely new design, then we will work on a step by step process to decide the colors and genetics of this adopt in an easy and understandable way!
The price of any male custom is 3 GB, and a female is 5 GB. The reason for this is that female munchkins can produce more munchkins rather cheaply, and male munchkins must have female munchkins to do the same.
For help with creating genotypes, which are the genetic codes of your cat, please refer to the Cat Coat Genetics Guide, the link to which is posted in the last section of the thread. If you are still not confident, I will help you through the process!
