Breeding

Cryptids do not possess a 'gender' (though if wished one can be designated), and can hence breed to any other Cryptids! It is important to note, however, that they have different rarities, breeding cooldowns, and common patterns.

For the sake of breedings, your Cryptids will be given a "Color" based on the similarity to its color on This Color Wheel. Credit for this can be provided through PM if wished.

The way that this breeding system (for colors) works, is I will take the designated color of both parents, and find the way around the wheel that contains the least colors. Then, one of those colors (randomly generated), will be chosen as the babies general color. I will then use Color Me Curious to obtain a palette with a color similar to the one generated. With that, the baby will be created using that palette and markings similar to their parent's (factoring in the limits of their species).

When breeding Cryptids of the same species together, you get a 100% chance of getting that species. When breeding different ones together, however, the following chances take place.
Hound x Serpin - 65% Hounds, 35% Serpins
Hound x Spectre - 95% Hounds, 5% Spectres
Serpin x Spectre - 80% Serpins, 20% Spectres

Hounds have a 7-Day Breeding Cooldown
Serpins have a 10-Day Breeding Cooldown
Spectres have a 14-Day Breeding Cooldown

It costs 2 GB to breed! All natural breedings will consist of ONLY 1 baby

Doubled Blessing - 2 Babies will be produced

Breed Secure - Secures the breed of one of the parents onto one of the babies

Color Select - Allows you to choose the color (within the range of the parents) for one of the babies

Chance Enhance - Raises the chance that the rarer of two breeds will be born by 20%

To Breed
Post below with the following form. If you wish to breed with someone else's Cryptid, both must post below giving their permission for the breeding to take place. Everything else is yours to work out- extra payments, who the baby(ies) go to, etc. I will not handle that.
