The dry, cracked earth below your paws reminds you of how long it's been since you last had a drink. Smacking your dry lips, you lift your head to see... rainbows in the distance? Knowing that it's most likely a mirage, you rush towards the colorful vapors. There, you see a waterhole along with a massive lion to guard it. In these lands water is scarce, and you know he must be a fierce protector of the life source. "You may drink, but don't expect me to be kind to you." His words make you jump as he had been facing away from you the whole time. Tentatively walking towards the water, the male looks you over for the first time. A sneer pulls at his features before he stalks away to "get away from your stench."
You have now been with the lion a few weeks, hearing his tales of long fought battles and hunts. You know he's lying about most of them, but they help to pass the time. In the middle of a story, he seems to lose himself for a moment. Looking questioningly at him, he only shakes his head in response. No longer are you a sickly lioness, now that water once more fills your belly you are an apex predator. Lithe, powerful, and beautiful. Perhaps, if you suffer though more of his stories, Kazimir will give you the gift of cubs? |
