INTRODUCTION

The Amenti are an old breed, one that the ancient Egyptians themselves came into contact with. It was believed they were the children or creations of Anubis, the god of death, and they were respected like they were gods themselves. It was illegal to attempt to tame one. They were thought to possess magical properties - little did they know that was correct. In current times this magic has become diluted and uncommon amongst the species.

There are two types of Dune Runners: wild lines and show lines. Wild lines are Amenti whose ancestors were wild and have not come into contact with humans. Show lines are Amenti that were illegally tamed and bred in underground show rings/races. Here's some information regarding lineage:

- General Info

• Lithe body, thin fur that vents heat.


• Can have any fur colour/pattern, including unnatural.


• Very intelligent, occasionally magical.


• Lifespan of 30 years, 40+ if magical. Some are immortal


• More magically advanced Amenti can communicate telepathically


• They can have eye colour

- Wild Lines

• Magic only appears in wild lines. The tame nature of the show lines has suppressed their magical abilities.


• Wild lines have long fur mutations etc as a result of their ancestors crossing with show lines.


• Higher variety of colours including unnatural


• Lower chance of passing a mutation


• Have their own set of special markings

- Show Line/Tame:

• Less of a variety of coat colours due to inbreeding but higher chance of mutations and the ability to pass them .


• Show line Amenti are now banned though some illegal show rings still exist.


• Some Amenti are kept legally as pets. These are Amenti that were part of the show lines and could not be rehabilitated and released. Show line Amenti that come from rescues are sterile, but there are some underground breeders that produce breedable show line Amenti. If a raid is carried out against a show ring the dogs will be adopted out.


• Have their own set of special markings

- Crossbreeding

Crossbreeding is possible between intact show line Amenti and wild Amenti. The resulting pup can be wild OR tame and can have markings that are specific to either line. However, these pups have a chance of being sterile/stillborn.

SPECIAL TRAITS

- Mutations

Amenti can have physical mutations. Even if an Amenti does not show a mutation, it can carry one. This means that all Amenti including wild lines can produce a mutated pup. You can view the mutation files here.

- Markings

Show and wild lines have their own exclusive mutations that are not present in the other line. You can find wild exclusive markings here and show exclusive mutations here (coming soon).

- Bases

There are such a wide variety of base colours that most are not named. Pups always seem to inherit their parent's colours/markings. In some cases, certain base patterns seem to be inheritable. You can find the exclusive bases here (coming soon).


BREEDING

See the breeding thread for additional info

Amenti females only have one pup per litter which always inherits a mix of its parents' colours/markings. There is a magical item that allows same-sex couples to produce a pup.

Studs will be listed in the breeding thread. Members can stud their own Amenti out or use one of the rotating NPC Amenti studs.


TYPES OF ADOPTIONS

Adoption types will vary from auctions, flat sales, offer to adopt, and free raffles. Specifics for each sale will be posted with the Amenti's info


RESELLING/TRADING/GIFTING

Reselling and trading is alright as long you do not resell for more than what you paid (unless it has extra artwork). You can also use the form below if you'd like to add another owner ID to you Amenti's archive image. This would be used if you decided to co-own.
To transfer ownership of any items or Amenti, you must reply to this thread with the following form (remove the text in the square brackets before posting!):

Auction

• Sometimes an Amenti will be up for offers. You can offer USD, Lioden currency/items/lions/art etc. Sometimes there will be a specific list of what I'm looking for! Best offer wins

Art Auction

• To win an art auction Amenti you must draw them. Sometimes a prompt will be given or there may be a limit on how many pieces you may do. The person who shoes the most effort will win.

Free Adopt

• Free adopts have a variety of ways they will work - eg one time you may be asked to give the Amenti a name and the most fitting one will win, one could be to find a gif you think best suits the Amenti etc.

Raffle

• Paid raffles will take place here on Lioden using the in-game raffle system


• Free raffles will link to a google doc where you can submit your entry. Raffles are rolled live on Discord.
