Lysosomal Storage Disease (LSD) is a an inherited disease that centers on a missing enzyme required for the metabolism of lipids, glycoproteins (sugar containing proteins) or so-called mucopolysaccharides. It inhibits an organisms ability to break down food, liquids, and drugs into usable substances ("building blocks"). TL;DR: the organism's body can't process anything.

In felines it appears at a young age. Kittens and young cats will exhibit their symptoms early in life. Symptoms include:
- Inability to thrive (stunted growth and thinness)
- Ataxia (lack of coordination or balance)
- Seizures
- Fainting
- Vision problems
- Lack of energy
- Death

Now onto how I personally think this would manifest in Lioden! This wouldn't be random, since LSD itself is hereditary. At least one of the parents would have to be a carrier of the mutation, and I suspect it would start in NCLs available to Dreamboats on a rare chance. Dreamboats who happen to obtain a carrier NCL would get flavor text upon the 2-4th month of the first litter with an LSD effected cub, maybe something like," CUB seems more lethargic than their siblings, and is a bit skinny... maybe CUB just needs to eat more, they are growing after all." I don't know if the mutation title would immediately be visible in the slot, or if you'd have to falcon’s eye the cubbin to find out? Because actual diagnosis for an affected organism requires extensive testing to be certain. The lioness that passed it would get the title Carrier (or something similar) in her mutation slot.

Even with a carrier lioness, it is still rare to get an LSD cub. Probably a little less rare than cyclopia. And the carrier NCL can make cubs that carry it themselves, although those are rather rare too. LSD affected cubs would probably die at either a year old, or they’d die at 6-8 months. Either way, they wouldn’t last long.

I don't expect to get a lot of supports for this idea because it's a little complex, but it's interesting to me none the less! If you don't support tell me why maybe? I'm interested in feedback for this mutation so I can improve it further!!
