Personally I believe I am a OK artist, from a lot of the artists that I’ve seen doing art for games like this that they sell,if people actually found my art, I believe it would do pretty well. But how much money is really in art, is it really worth the time and effort it takes to do the individual art piece? And how do you price an art piece?

Depends! If you're talking SB & GB i'm not sure, but usually it's just based on how much money you want to make. Detailed full-body w/ or w/o a background can go from 20-70ish dollars. It also depends on how good your art is and how much people would be willing to pay for it.

To me it entirely depends on the quality of the artwork.

You’re unlikely to make a huge amount selling art on a game like this, prices tend to be low-ish and mostly SB/GB rather than real currency. That said, there is a big difference between the bottom and the top ends of the market. There are some artists that make considerable amounts of USD from commissions here, so it really varies. It’s just dependent on art quality, the amount of time it takes you and what you think your time is worth, and whether there are players willing to pay those prices. It might also depend what types of art you are experienced at - human/feral/anthro, digital/traditional, flat/shaded, etc. Different styles can be more or less popular and therefore more or less expensive.

You probably need clear examples for somebody to give you a better idea of specific prices - I’m not too great at pricing personally, but other people are more knowledgable :)
