Many generations ago, there lived a pack deep in the forest called Nightshade. The Alpha was a kind and wise wolf, often putting his pack before himself. He welcomed loners and made peace with rogues, making his pack the most desirable in the land. One day, his mate gave birth to two pups, both males, the oldest with a majestic white pelt and kind brown eyes and the youngest with a jet black pelt with scheming green eyes. With the alpha long past his prime, he had to decide between his two pups. It proved to be difficult because both pups showed signs of beings promising leaders. So he decided that with the pups turned two, they would duel and the winner would become heir to the pack. Naturally, this sparked rivalry between the two brothers. The younger became jealous of the elder's charm and popularity and the elder became jealous of the younger's battle ability and stealth. This lead to many arguments between the two and more bitterness. Soon the day of the duel came, and it was the elder that emerged victorious. Furious, the youngest brother attacked the alpha, gravely injuring him. The older brother intervened, causing a fight to break out. The Alpha banished the younger brother, who swore his revenge upon the Nightshade pack, his followers leaving with him.

Months later, the Alpha and his mate passed away in their sleep, making the older brother the new alpha, ruling with just as much kindness and wisdom as his father. As he and his beta were patrolling the border, he began to hear cackling across the border. Curious, he and the beta hid behind some bushes, finding the younger brother and his followers, along with some rogues.

"My brother will never know what hit them! They will regret the day they stole MY throne from me! I will declare war on my brother, take Nightshade territory BY FORCE! SO SAYS THE ALPHA OF BLOOD VENOM!

The newly-formed pack howled in sadistic happiness. The older brother, horrified of what his kin had became, snuck away, holding back tears. The brothers and their packs soon confronted each other in a clearing, between the two territories. The elder pleaded to the younger, begging him to put their rivalry aside and become brothers again. But the younger refused, stating that it was too late to make amends. Blood was spilled, fur was flying and generations have passed, the new Alphas of Nightshade and Blood Venom continuing the war.

Ranks of Nightshade~

The Alphas are the final decision makers in the pack. Their word is law. They are to eat first. This position cannot be challenged.

Alpha Male: Lucario (4/Twixie)
Alpha Female: CHOSEN IN RP

The Beta is The Alpha's second in command. They watch over the pack when the Alpha is unable to. They make sure the pack follows the Alpha's orders. They eat after the Alpha's. They aren't required to be mates. This position can be challenged .

Beta Male: Lucifer (3/ThatOnePerson)
Beta Female: Caj (3/Echostar)

The Deltas are the Alpha security and a newly formed rank. They are usually bulky in size. They escort the Alpha to wherever they wish to go when they want to leave the camp. They eat after Betas. This position cannot be challenged and is given to whoever is worthy enough after the present Deltas pass.

Delta Female: Jadis (4/Iro)

The Lead Warrior can be of any gender and holds responsibility of their Warriors. They must speak to the Alpha every morning to be assigned their tasks. They eat after Delta's.This position can be challenged.

Lead Warrior:

The Warriors are the protectors of the pack. They take orders from the Lead Warrior and must keep watch at night, taking shifts, to ensure no night attacks. They eat with the Lead Warrior.

The Lead Hunter ensures that the pack is fed. They must speak with the Alpha every morning to be assigned their tasks, if any. They lead hunts and bring it to the Alpha. They hold responsibility of their Hunters. They eat after the Lead Warrior. This position can be challenged.

Lead Hunter:

Hunters actively look for prey in groups of four. Once they find and catch prey, they are to bring it back immediately, they may not eat any of the prey until it is their turn. They eat with the Lead Hunter.

The Lead Scout must patrol the territory whenever they can. If they find any suspicious activity, they are to report to the Alpha immediately, while their group try to hold off the threat for as long as they can. They hold responsibility of their Scouts. They eat after Hunters. This position can be challenged .

Lead Scout:

Scouts patrol the territory in groups of five, including the Lead Scout. They may not leave camp without permission from the Lead Scout and the Alpha. They eat with the Lead Scout

The healer cures sick wolves and heals infected wounds. They are to consult the Alpha when a wolf becomes deathly ill, so that the Alpha may decide what to do with them. This position cannot be challenged and is passed to whoever the current Healer thinks is worthy. Afterwards, the current healer then becomes a hunter. They eat after Scouts.

Mothers nurse their pups until they turn two years old. They are to stay in the nursery den with their pups until they are old enough to walk (6 months) When their pups are old enough to become an Omega, they return to their rank. They eat with the Betas.

Omegas are wolves who have turned two years old and are training to become a hunter, warrior, healer or scout and in rare occasions, delta. They are not very respected, as they have just left puphood, but are very important. They travel with their desired rank and are appointed to their rank when they prove themselves worthy. You must be 2-3 years old to be an Omega. They eat with the Deltas.

Pups are the youngest in the pack. They are highly valued as they are the next generation. They are to stay in the nursery den with their mother until they are old enough to walk, afterwards they must stay with their mothers at all times. They eat with Mothers and Betas.

Elders are the oldest in the pack. They are in touch with the spirit realm, oversee the training of the Omegas and are advisers to the Alpha. You must be over 10 to be an elder. They eat with the Alphas.

The Betrayers are wolves from both packs who want the war to end. They still belong to their respective packs, but hold a meeting in between the borders to trade information. Neither pack knows of their existence. They will not be named, to keep the essence of illusion in the RP.
