Personality - Sirona is caring and kind, but can be distrustful at times...
Bio - Sirona came to the island at the age of two years, and quickly overtook the healer position. The old healer, Adrestia, was jealous of the title that had been robbed from her, attempted to murder Sirona in her sleep. Sirona awoke because of her whisper friends screaming at her, just in time to almost avoid her attempted murderess's jealous claws. She made it out with only a scar, but the Adrestia was sentenced to exile.

Personality - Adrestia is sly and manipulative, and she will do anything to get what she wants.
Bio - She was the healer before Sirona came, and she had poured her entire soul into her work. But when Sirona stole her calling, she wanted revenge. So she crept into the healer's cave to murder her. But her plan failed, and she was exiled. Having lived her entire life on the island, she had no idea what to do in the outside world, and she was quickly killed for her pelt by some poachers.

Personality - Glory is a timid, but kind lion with a love for small creatures and a rather unfortunate past. Before she came to be a part of the island's residents, she lived with her original pride somewhere in Africa. It was ruled by a vain king who had similarly vain wives that often squabbled and competed for their king's affections. Glory's mother was one of them. As a plain-looking lioness however, her mother was a sort of social outcast of their pride, especially given her track record of single-littered common cubs. This drove her into intense envy and she often went to extreme lengths to look as attractive and noticeable as possible, wearing piles of gaudy and flashy decor. When Glory was finally born to her, her mother was ecstatic -Glory was a rare based cub with a rich variety of markings. Instead of being a boon to the young lioness though, it became the root of her resentment. She barely had a cubhood; she was forbidden from playing as her mother disliked her getting dirty and was spiteful of her rivals' children, she was constantly criticized and needled by her mother for her looks and mannerisms, and was eventually forced into an arranged trade to another king in a faroff pride... in exchange for decor, no less. Finally fed up, the young lioness took a chance and ran away from her pride, hoping to start a new life, only to be captured by poachers and put on a ship going across the ocean. By some stroke of luck (either good or bad, depending how you look at it), her ship capsized in a freak storm off the coast of the island where Glory escaped her ruined cage and onto the beaches. That was 3 months ago. Now, against her better judgement, the shy lioness is training to be a huntress under an all-lioness pride. Glory worries about her future, as much as her snarky broodmother friend, Hella, chides her for it.

Personality - Quick thinking and intuitive Thandiwi is an avid huntress. Coming from a royal status in her former pride she has a harsh sense of self and has high standards of others. In general she's laid back and flexible, but her perfectionism makes it hard for other hunters to work alongside her happily. A trusted confidante and friend to all Thandiwi has a strong value system and is quick to defend the lionesses on the island should anything - or anyone - unsavory wash up on the shores. Her ultimate goal is to climb the ranks and eventually become a beloved leader.

Bio: She is a sweet, light hearted gal who is protective of her Den and dreams of one day being a hunter. She is loving and watches out for the cubs, but is a little pushy by sneaking into the hunting groups! She is rather simple, and does not like elaborate decorations on herself. Hard to impress, Sirona is probably the coolest thing she's seen. She wants to be friends with everyone (even her prey before she kills it!) and hates seeing cubs or adolescents being picked on because of their looks or mutations.

Name - Hella (There's no particular meaning to it. I just like the name.)

Personality - Hella had lived on the island a good while now. She started out as an enthusiastic newcomer in her late adolescence who had loved the idea of looking after cute cubs all day as a change of pace from the backbreaking action of the hunt. Now, the brown lioness gets to live the backbreaking life of a broodmother, perpetually assigned the rowdiest and frankly weirdest cubs on the island because of her exemplary "mothering skills."
Oh, joy.
Hella could try to believe that bullshit, yes -that she was a natural cub-whisperer. Then again, she could also consider the fact that she had once laughed at one of the older, vindictive witches broodmothers for complaining about her job. And boasted about how much more wild the cubs in her old pride had been in comparison to the island's "mewling newborns." And how she could do a much better job without whining. Hella often wishes she had shut her muzzle for once that time, much to her young friend, Glory's amusement.

Personality - Shy, Quiet, Timid, easily scared.
Backstory - A female gave birth to a Leopon cub in her litter. In order to keep herself safe from her king’s fury that she had a fling with a leopard, the lioness took the cub to the island of lionssses that she lived at for a period of her younger life. The cub was left, there, starved and afraid.
