If this is in the wrong place, feel free to move it!

Right. So, I'm leaving soon, maybe part time maybe for good, but either way I most likely won't be on the game nearly everyday like I have been for the past 2 or 3 years or so. But, before I go, I wanted to drop some knowledge and advice on new and incoming players. I've been putting this off for a while, but now that I've found the time and energy, I'm gonna buckle down and do the damn thing.

Note: This advice isn't in any particular order. Also, if you're a fairly experienced player yourself, feel free to add your 2-cents in the comments! Consider this a WIP until about....March. Because that's when my hiatus/semi-hiatus will begin.

So, without further ado...

- PEOPLE KNOW YOU'RE NEW. They know this and they WILL prey on it. Generally, people do not bother with newbies because as a new player, you don't have anything they want or need besides trash like common decor or whatever. So if someone is PMing you about something, be wary. Ask a trusted friend first. If you don't have a friend, ask a staff member in a PM or something. Your username can be changed but your ID number will always Identify you as new, easy prey. Be wary.

- DO NOT BLOW ALL YOUR CURRENCY ON TIER 1 AND 2 ITEMS. The good shit, 9 times outta 10, is in Tier 3. When it comes to making money, it's always an uphill battle for newbies because you don't know the market. Again, this is something to ask a friend or trustworthy player about.

- Never engage in high-risk promise transactions with people you don't trust/know when you're new. February is coming up, which means lots of item exchange between players with valuable shit, so I wanna stress this. If you happen to get a lion like a dwarf, leopon, or tigon, never, never, NEVER transfer or trade them for any reason. This is not necessary for a reverse breed and anyone trying to convince you it is almost definitely trying to steal your lion. Be wary. If you DO find yourself needing or wanting to reverse breed to a tigon or leopon owner that bad, breed them to your own stud to make sure every item you sent over is being used in the breeding and not being kept. If someone scams you, report it to the modbox. Keep records of all conversations until the transaction is over.

- Dont undersell yourself. The amount of GMOs I've seen going for 2000sb and 5gb this month is kinda crazy. Items that always fetch a high value are mutation and breeding items, even in-season. Applicators have a range, typically based on how attainable they are in their respective event ( for example: a Gregarious Mark applicator is worth more than Aufeis Layers.) While we're on the subject of sales, DOUBLE CHECK YOUR TRADE BEFORE POSTING! This also goes for branches. Mispricing opens you up to sniping and many snipers will not return mispriced items. Staff cannot and will not intervene in this.

- RAFFLES THAT ARE ASKING FOR JUNK ARE USUALLY BEING DISINGENIOUS. Be logical; nobody asks for "junk" in return for a valuable item. This "junk", when collected and pooled together, are components that make valuable applicators and decor. You usually see this in raffles with items like herbs or gems. The only true junk items on lioden are ones with absolutely no use like Muddy Items, Bottles, ect. (and even these can be sold to Monkey Business for a good profit in high enough quantities). Keep gems, Keep herbs, they eventually come in handy.

This will be updated as more things come to mind, but that's all I have to say for now!
