The Lore:

In 1972 the government passed the Werewolf Extermination Act, which, in simple terms, gave a substantial bounty for any and all werewolf heads brought to the local Sheriff’s office. This led to the mass hunting and lynching of werewolf communities around the country. The hunting was supposed to be limited to feral werewolves living outside of communities, but went largely unregulated.

Since that time, the number of true protected cities and towns quickly dwindled into non-existence by the early nineties. Currently, the only true protected haven for werewolves remaining is Lykos. Not many know of it, as the packs living within its borders are rather closed lipped about it, not wanting to stretch the already overcrowded territory past its limit. Many of the town’s residents are remnants of packs that were destroyed or fled elsewhere during he time of the act. But these werewolves, mostly young adults, are staying here, the only place they’re guaranteed safety. For now, at least.

The Extermination Act is no longer, abolished due to the outcry of a few different civil rights groups, but the human world is still not particularly safe for werewolves. There are still those who have deemed themselves Werewolf Hunters picking off loners and those caught unawares. They present a clear and present danger to this day though they normally do not dare to enter the town.

We follow three small packs in the modern day, and their struggles to come to terms with themselves, with the beasts inside them, family struggles, territory skirmishes (and overcrowding in the city), growing older, making friends and enemies, falling in love, and dodging the mysterious skeevy guys who keep popping up at the border and trying to convince them to take off to the supposed pack-lands up north.
