Arcana is a Black Dark Countershaded Special base inspired by magic and colors that remind me of magic! Black, purple, and gold. |

I like the initial concept a lot! A subtle, yet still unnatural base, which is hard to get right! Some brown on the chin might be nice, though! However, thinking about the yellow eyes, if you wanted a bit more pop, some of the speckles could transition into slightly more vivid yellow rather than faded gold as well, including a more bold gradient in the legs going black-brown-gold-yellow. This could be a neat idea, after all I don't think there's a whole lot of unique bases you can get from Rough Ruby combos so it'd add some variety. I'm not too crazy about the gold/brown hues because it throws off the purple/black a bit (maybe test out something lavenderish or silvery if you need a third color?) but so far it looks good ^^ 0 players like this post! Thanks y'all for the suggestions — I plan on working on lightening up the color scheme a bit! I'm trying to do it without losing the deep/rich quality of the purple I was going for. 0 players like this post! Like? |
