Lately, I've been noticing a lot of old Tigons and Leopons in the TC that have no more heats in them just being marketed as 'Tigon 3m' or 'Leopon with mottled rosette'. Usually old hybrids are frozen or otherwise notified for being trophy only lions [ex: tigon for freezing]. These trades have no such indications and while seasoned players know better than to buy a hybrid without checking it's age, new players do not. [And there's nothing onsite to inform them either] I think it would be really unfortunate for a new player to buy a 14.2 year old tigon for nearly 100gb only to be told later in chat or modbox that it's not breedable. Hell, even seasoned players might forget. Therefore, I think it would be a good idea for warning text above a trade that says something like 'Warning! One or more lions in this trade is too old to breed!' In red text. |

Definite support! As a newer player, I've definitely done this so I don't see any reason to not support this! I hoard muties, and tend to.... not be the most observant player. 100% good idea!! Hope the admins and other higher up positions can see this!! Edit: another idea maybe notifications if a lioness is close to being unbreedable so you can't just sell a lioness at 13 years and 11 months and one if a lioness has a cooldown that ends after she's 14 years old in case someone decides to sell a younger one at 12-13 with a long cooldown that lasts until after she's no longer able to breed. 0 players like this post! Yes please I would love some anti-scam notifications about lioness heats. I hate seeing muties or special bases sold for GB that are too old to breed or are like 13 yo with 14 day cooldown. I made that mistake once not long after ?I joined. I gave my first GB for a non passable mutie with 1 heat left... 0 players like this post! Like? |

Yeah I have been searching for a dwarf that young that not to pricey for ages I found a 3gb one that i found unfrozen with the applicator that makes it look like adol or a baby, just younger than it was! the next day I read my rollover "(dwarfname) lived a long and full life" they ded now. wasted my gb that I worked hard to get on a 1 day thing. 1day. Real bummed. There should be as well as this lion cant breed something that says "this lion is coming to it's end" or something so people understand that this lion is going to die soon. 0 players like this post! It would also be good if there was something that could warn that the cool down exceeds breedable age and cannot be bred again without using barks. A lot of people tend to get confused by the cool down and age so a warning will help eliminate that. Such as a count down (maybe from 12 years?) to say how many days left before lioness is too old to breed, that way a player could quickly compare that to the cool down. 0 players like this post! YES! I always check ages now as I was really close to buying a Tigon for 50 GB. Thankfully my gut told me something was off for her to be that cheap. And I totally agree with Jaxdaw calling it scammy - it is. There's no reason that the seller shouldn't state she has one or no heats left. I think around 12/13 a warning that says something like "One or more lionesses in this trade have few to no heats left!" that way it's a bit more one size fits all kind of coding for ease. Definitely support! 0 players like this post! Like? |

I wouldnt describe those selling old lionesses as scammers per say, I tend to sell a lot of old muties and specials to those who want em for dynasties/freezing (albeit clearly listed as old lioness or something) That said I think the signposting of unbreedable lionesses should be clearer in general. A lot of new players get fooled by the cooldown timer telling them a lioness will be in heat in X number of days even after she's past 14 years old. I dont really think this should be in the form of a tc message but rather just made clearer on the lions themselves. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I support this <3 when I first started I bought a lioness too old XD not realizing til afterwards wouldn't be able to breed them. It will be extremely helpful to new players or maybe some that aren't paying attention to the age at the time 0 players like this post! Like? |
