Personally I would definitely recommend fighting for all slots up to 40, rather than buying them with SB if you don't have a lot of spare currency. If you can find lower statted kings you can reliably beat, that's a much cheaper method, and you can use your beetles elsewhere instead.

You can use the search function (Crossroads > Search) to find the best people to attack. You ideally want to search for kings 2 levels lower than your own (since that's the minimum level you can attack) - so in your case, level 2. Then once you've run the search click the column text that says 'T. Stats', and that will filter the results by lowest to highest stats. Which makes it very simple to find the kings you can fight with the lowest possible stats.

Bear in mind also that if the territory option isn't available in their den in the PvP attack dropdown, then they've already been attacked by someone for territory that day, so you'd need to try a different king.

Of course the more you can raise your own stats (there are some very simple things like playing the baoball game everyday, etc) the easier it will be to find opponents you can beat :)

Slots 1- 20 can be bought with sb only.

Slots 21 - 40 you must pvp for, users can only be fought for territory once per rollover.

Slots 40+ is gb only.
