Way down right at the bottom of his page is a link - 'Retiring Your King'. Clicking that takes you to the retirement page that lets you pick which heir you want to take over, and other things like name, and which appearance to keep.

You can retire your king for free from 15 years old - and are forced to retire him once he reaches 16 if you haven't already. When he's younger than 15 it costs 10GB for early retirement. Or if you have already retired your previous king within the last month, there is an extra 15GB fee on top of the normal 10, so 25GB total.
