Each rollover starts the new day for your lions, it ages your lions up by 1 month per rollover. A lion's year on this game is 12 days in real life.

If you don't push the rollover button, your account doesn't start the day that day, so it remains "frozen" and doesn't age any of your lions or perishable items.

Also: The rollover button appears at 2:05am lioden time, so it's best not to roll right before that time unless you don't mind skipping most of a playable day while still having everything aged by the rollover.

If you don't roll over, they do not get any hunger for that day. Often players who are taking a break will just not rollover, it holds your account for you like you left it. Very inactive accounts (6 months away) will remove your King's name so it becomes available for active players to use if they want, but the account stays in stasis until you return.

The first rollover after a break does age your lions by one in-game month and add to their hunger and Lower their moods (by one day IRL's worth) so you should always feed and play with them before leaving just in case your next roll could make them fall below the hunger or mood thresholds.

Your lions will not be gone if you don’t rollover. Your account stays frozen so you can stay away for years and your lions are still in your account. Aging and everything happens when you rollover.

@Angela If a person does not Rollover, do the lions still get hungry/bored and possibly leave the pack? Like if I am inactive for say 6 days, will all my lions be gone? I don't plan on being inactive, I just wanted to check.
