Accounts never get deleted, even if they've been inactive for a very long time. The only thing that gets touched on an inactive account is the king's name. King names are reset after exactly one year of inactivity, provided the player hasn't rolled over at all within that year.

@Katze Ah okay that's what I figured, though I have seen an account that has had no activity in the past seemingly year and their king has not gotten touched on yet so idk what is up with that. My friend wants to get said name and is unsure what is going on at the technical part there. Like do we have to wait a whole extra 24 hours to get said name off the king or is it supposed to be automated?

Edit for a tl;dr: There's a user with a king's name that my friend would like and that user seemingly has been inactive for over a year. Both in profile and in public activity. If you need me to message a staff member about it, please let me know who to go about this.

It's an automated process. Our staff do not reset names sooner than the automated process would, unfortunately, so it's just a matter of waiting!
