hello! i've been thinking about releasing my original species here on Lioden, but i'm not sure how received they will be.

so Nexus, or Nexi plural, are a type of mythical shark-wolf species with the attributes of an angler fish and other unknown species. there's said to be only a couple hundred Nexi left living in the wild, none in captivity, due to the hunting of these mythical species's for their rare abilities.

these are a closed species, meaning that you can't re-sell them or claim their concept for your own. they're breedable, and you can take them to explore. there's quite a bit more that can be done with them, but i don't want to give out all the information yet. if you'd like some more information and more frequent updates, join my nexi discord server. there's more information there, and i am working on several different documents with information to be shared and posted.

i would like to mention that i am a full time student in my senior year, so the progress is a little slower than i'd like it to be. i'm aware that the image below can easily be retraced, but it's only one variation of (if my math is correct) over five hundred, excluding markings.

i've currently commissioned about two friend artists who will help me with the base lines and clipping layers for the different markings available.

please let me know what you guys think! are they something you might be interested in? um, do you have a general price of what you might pay for them based on here? i mean, i have a general idea on the documents, but they can be subject to change based on feedback. any other feedback or help? suggestions? if i were to officially release them, would it be smart to have beta testers?
