Hey y'all I'm just a bit confused about this one thing for pie breeding... I know for primals, the chance for a primal mutation roll only occurs if the MALE has primal. However, since both the piebald MALE and the piebald FEMALE are able to trigger a roll for the piebald cubs, does that mean the chance rolls twice for those pairs? In other words is it, Male(pie) x Fem(pie) = rolls twice (5% each) Male(pie) x Fem(pie) = rolls once (5%) OR does all that not even matter and if both parties are pies, it just gives that one 5% roll? 0 players like this post! The 5% value you've used in your example isn't accurate data. My apologies for nitpicking, it's misinformation that gets spread around easily as official fact - LD staff has never revealed the pass rates for patches and piebald mutations. 5% is player speculation gathered from breeding data, which isn't always true to how it is in code. Regarding your query, it does roll twice, regardless of if the parents have matching patterns or if they're completely different patterns. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Thanks for the fast reply! That helps a lot to know it does increase the chances with both parties having piebald :) You're right, I did find that 5% info on one of the posts I was reading when trying to find an answer for this x_x my baaddd, thanks for letting me know that's not necessarily what goes on! 0 players like this post!
