STUDDING RULES (i.e. fraud prevention)
1. Studding shall be performed within the clan via transfer of the male beetle to the female beetle's owner for the amount of time required for the female beetle to be mated. The sale fee of the male beetle shall represent the studding fee, and the male beetle shall be returned to its owner as soon as possible.
2. Reverse studding shall be performed within the clan via transfer of the female beetle to the male beetle's owner for the amount of time required for the female beetle to be mated, and hatch her eggs. The sale fee of the female beetle shall represent the reverse studding fee, and the female beetle shall be returned to its owner as soon as possible.
3. In both cases, the eggs are the property of the player who paid, not the player who was paid. The entire clutch will belong to the paying player. The transfer shall occur through a private trade.
4. The player who receives the other player's beetle will have space for the beetle and for its offspring, and it will care for the beetle and for its offspring, and it will not release or eat said beetle while said beetle is in their care.
5. The player who receives the other player's beetle will not hold on for it longer than is required for breeding, and if they refuse to give the beetle back, or if they hold on to it arbitrarily long and knowingly, they may be subject to removal from the clan.
6. In order to prevent "he-said-she-said" scenarios, all agreements must be made publicly, in this thread.
