well, this really speaks for itself. i'm afraid that this suggestion has been made before ^^;

i'll be fair; i block quite a lot of people on various games/social media in order to protect myself against seeing content that i don't like / content that makes me uncomfortable.

so i was wondering, why are blocklists not shared on here between connected accounts? i've had the issue recently that i forgot to block someone on my main who i have blocked on my side, which made me stumble upon their profile again by accident. having shared blocklists between connected accounts would stop that, but it would also stop users messaging you on your side account in order to ask why you have blocked them.

another idea would be that if you block someone's main account, that it also automatically blocks their side account (if it is connected to their main account) as well. i've seen people use their side account to by-pass a block on their main.

This would be nice. Every so often I block people myself, primarily whiny, hyper-sensitive sorts who get all pissy with me when I prove them wrong with logic over feelings, or people who were just assholes to me. So being able to allow a universal ability to block via both accounts by only blocking on one would be nice.

Had to ignore a few people over their casual racism and it would've been awesome if I couldn't accidentally stumble on them on my side.

Assisting argument for this idea, avoiding having the person block evade you because you forget to block it on the side and have it block their side account to prevent block evasion.

Support.
It'd also be nice if blocking feature would also expand to automatically add people who blocked you, onto your own block list. Random blocking seems to be a trend on Lioden lately and its highly annoying to suddenly stumble upon a person who you never met or spoke to before, that blocked you - especially when doing random stuff, like event clicking or shopping. Since you cant in any way interact with person who blocked you, and they cannot see/interact with you either - why not automatically block back so you're spared the trouble of manually having to do it, so you can immediately know you are unable to interact with that person and dont waste time?

It'd be beneficial from both sides - if you block someone, you dont see their den/posts but they can see yours. If auto-blockback was added, they would be unable to see your den/posts as well as soon as you block them. And if someone blocked you, you'd also be spared the disappointment of browsing through lions or items for sale, clicking Buy and getting "You cannot purchase from this person". You'd know right away you cannot do that if they were auto-blocked back.

Sorry if my explanation is hard to understand, Im not natively english speaker. XD

1000000000x support!

When I block someone, I don't want anything to do with that someone. On my main or side account. This would be awesome.

Also, I'd love for the system to automatically block people who blocked me first. Cause I'm kinda petty about that. It's like a, "You blocked me? Fine, let me return the favor" kinda deal. XD;

Support for the original suggestion, but I'm not at all a fan of automatic 'return-blocking', because it loses the anonymity factor blocking currently has. Plus potentially makes the blockee unable to see important/useful posts and replies on forums, and unable even to do anything about it because the original block isn't on their end.

So, to explain my thinking a little... I don't block people randomly. But I certainly do sometimes block people I've never spoken directly to, as I know other players do - though of course everyone's threshold for blocking is different. Personally I don't think you always need to know people well to know you want to avoid them lol! For me, blocks might be for 'minor' things e.g. being rude/bigoted in chat/forums, word-of-mouth warnings from other players, clogging up TC with tons of similar and frequently bumped trades, etc etc. It really varies a lot, though I do also clear out my blocklist fairly often. But I block quietly and privately with the expectation that most of those people will never even see that I've blocked them, because it's much less drama that way and it doesn't need to be personal or turn into a whole thing.

For me, blocking anonymously helps me play how I want - simply for enjoyment. I play games like LD to take a break from real life stresses and annoyances, so I just don't want that shit here, no matter how minor. But equally I don't particularly want people to see straightaway just from casually visiting my den page that they're blocked. That won't cause any less upset and drama, rather the opposite.

I also feel like not being able to see forum posts or replies from someone who has blocked you could get very confusing and problematic - especially if they're in the same circles as you, or if they make guides/masterposts/anything useful like that, or even just with bids on auction threads. Suddenly you'd potentially be missing part of the picture through no direct action of your own. As it is you can control that yourself somewhat by limiting or monitoring exactly who you block and reconsidering if it seems to cause issues with missing a lot of posts in certain threads or whatever. With a 'block-in-return' system that wouldn't be an option.

Seems odd that it isn't already an existing feature, would love to have this added.
Well done on the suggestion.

BIIIG support, sick of switching to the side and seeing the same person casually being a bigot. Then having to block them,,, again. Would be a huge help!! Subbing!

YES. I don't know why this isn't a thing already!
What's the point in blocking someone if it only works 50% of the time?
