A band of desperate rebels, a corrupt government, a dragon who betrayed his own kind.

Narduradin was once watched over by the Spirits, a group of mysterious creatures apparently responsible for the world itself. They were considered unstoppable, but truly nothing is. Naynmeire, the Dark One, once a friend of the Spirits, turned on them. During a meeting with the leaders of Fendrith, the Spirits were ambushed by Naynmeire, leading the once peaceful dragons against their creators. A massive battle was waged, and the Spirits vanished.
Naynmeire then betrayed fellow dragons and helped the humans to enslave them, installing a council of humans to rule the land called the Circle, and created an oppressive government called the Dominance.
From his point of view, he is saving Narduradin and the prophecy, but in reality, he is being tricked into destroying it. By who? Perhaps not even he knows...
