I'm dumb but how Ignite?

* We have maned females,
* maneless males...

* dwarfs and those can't do much of anything in the game but be a SB/GB sink just to get more that can't get it without a fancy item. So that's in a way saying that short people can't do much with their lives, which is insulting to my mom in a way, if you wanna think about controversial in that regard

* The blind/deaf mutations are a bit insulting based on the usefulness of them in the game as i personally know people who are deaf and blind and the current mutations seem discriminating to the level where 'blind/deaf beings can't do shit but sit there'. Why i never keep those.

* we have lethal mutations that would be cruel to keep if they happen in real life as the animal suffers and dies like they would in the game.
* we have a community whose LGBTQA + and so their lions would be too if they wish it.
* we even have items to change gender like we can do irl (though that's called surgeries) and items that control Fertility for lioness to a degree

How is that a problem? I'm sorry if i come off as rude/dark, not my intention. I just want to understand and that's how i see things when i see/hear the word 'controversial' and frankly i'm tired of hearing it.
we already got the looney tunes movie remake having iconic characters getting canned due to 'controversy'
Dead man Dr.Suess's old creations getting pulled for really stupid 'controverual' stuff that isn't even a thing.

All this is just for something to complain about.
I'm gender fluid so i'm both to either one and i don't see a problem with it except maybe a game breaking issue.

I'm saying it would (or possibly) be controversial because of the name and mutation 'hermaphroditism'. Even though this is a lion game, a lot of people still dislike the use of the word, even if it's used medically like this as a mut.

I truly have no issue with LGBTQ+ folks, and I'm apart of the LGBTQ+! It's just this topic has been made before and deleted. A lot of people voiced they didn't like it because of the word hermaphrodite has been and is still used negatively and quite a lot of people don't feel comfortable with the word.

That's the only reason why I said it was controversial. I'm not just throwing that word out. There was an argument that started up on it too, if I remember right.

Hopefully this gives you a bit of an answer as to why I said it?

Plus, of course, it would be a bit complicated with coding and such much like @Ginger_Bee says. Staff is already busy enough with fixing up LD, adding other new things, etc.

Also most of what you just said have nothing to do with this topic at all.

i do agree with coding issues and then again it could also break the game in some way as well.

The only other fix would be to name it intersex, but even then I don't think a mutation like this would be a wise idea. Coding would be a nightmare, not to mention how would it be determined how much % of female to male reproductive organs would the lion have? 100% of both? How would making them a member of your pride work? They could potentially be a side heir, finally be kinged, then have the option to breed within the pride to other lionesses but also become pregnant? It would destroy the game.
Also, the other 'controversy's' are null and void to this suggestion. The looney tunes one was because of the character (pepe le pue or however you spell it) being removed and having to explain why to children was shown to be too off-putting to test screen watchers (when companies run a test scene in movie theatres to a group of people to see how they will react) mainly because he was overly amorous and lacked self-awareness with boundaries. So it had nothing to do with people being 'butt hurt' or 'overly sensitive' about things, that was literally because of the ramifications of having to explain to children why he'd been removed or why his actions are deemed wrong.

In the medical world, Intersexism (I am not going to be calling it anything else) isn't always split 50/50. Most cases include much murkier percentages, and can be as simple as slight deformities of the urethra-- i suggest looking into intersexism before you make a suggestion on it (or any other "mutation" or condition). It is not only unrealistic to have them be 50/50 every time (which is the only way this would make sense gameplay wise without being a coding nightmare imo) it's offensive. There are tons of different "types" of intersexism.

A maned lioness probably has a hormonal imbalance (or genetic), that is not intersexism. A lot of creatures have hormonal imbalances without being intersex. These two things are correlated, but not related. A lioness with a mane, or a male without a mane, are not offensive because they're not inherently part of the LGBT+ community that are often forgotten or made to be novelties/gawked at within media.

I'm sure your suggestion meant no harm, but this suggestion just is not wise or sensical.

The gameplay mechanic issues it raises are immense. Can they be kinged? Are they assigned a gender at birth? If so, what determines that? In real life, it's usually the dominant sex characteristics that determine this. What percentage of the lion is male/female? Would they just end up being infertile? If so, what's the point? Is there a line art change? Are they just a trophy sort of like deaf? What determines which roles they can take? Does an AMAB lion only get to patrol or can they hunt as well?

also, the reason why blind/deaf mutations are "useless" is because they are lions in the wild. Most animals that are wild that suffer these conditions don't survive long due to external or other health factors. But, the blind lions live their whole lives blind and comfortable! Of course a lion who cannot see cannot hold a position of power/hunt. It can't...well, see to do so. Deaf cubs don't live long due to their disability, while I personally feel that they should live just as long as blind lions they simply do not.
I personally see no connection between those two things and intersex. I see what you're saying, but fundamentally these two things are not the same.

in this would destroy the game so on that i can say i wouldn't support as for the skunk he was called out in the movie for his behavior and he was curbing it, that i remember. Plus kids don't understand shit when that young i know i didn't let alone my friends until some idiot pointed it out and even then i don't get it. I get too into the cartoon to find nonsense plus it's not the character's fault they were made that way just redesign them lol
what next Bugs and Daffy being called out for possibly being secretly homosexual due to cross dressing and kissing other guys? XD

That aside i do understand and am not causing issues. Not my intention i just didn't get things, which i do now ^ ^
