OKay so, this is a newer update (newer as in it came before I decided to start up again on my account) so I'm a bit confused.

Say you have your king and he is 15 years old - will going to your heir's page and choosing him as the 'heir' replace the current king or will he just roll over as the next king when the current king dies?

Hope this makes sense. ;;

Yes, that's what I usually do when replacing my king but I noticed when I went to my heir's page to feed and play with him he had a button on his page;

whatwillhitting-thisdo

What will hitting that button do?

In order to chose an heir for kinging you'll have a dropdown in the retirement menu! GI68BCM.png
Giving your males an heir role will not select them, so you manually have to decide in this area over here! <3

I'm not entirely sure what pops up on enforced retirement when your king must be replaced as I've always replaced before retirement, but I hope this helps!

That 'choose as heir' button (which only appears on male pride members' pages once you have a king old enough to be retired for free) doesn't commit you to anything, it simply takes you to the ordinary retirement screen where you can choose to go through with retiring if you want, or not if you change your mind.

It doesn't have any other extra function, it doesn't pre-set the male as the heir or anything like that. So it's only useful at the moment you're actually going to retire your king - there's no benefit/difference to using that button rather than the normal retiring option on your king's page :)
