Through history, the Native Americans have been demonized through depictions of their head dressings. I am Native and I do not feel comfortable with people wearing my culture and same goes for online characters and in this case as decoration for lions in the game.

There is a difference between having feathers as decorations in the game. Please refer to the image below for right and wrong placements (art credit goes to Le on discord)

in a lot of mocking native american art the pointing up feather was drawn on native americans who appeared to look like savages. it’s very looked down on in native culture, it’s not just mocking headdresses.

It's stereotyping Native Americans. It makes me uncomfortable to see headdresses or feathers pointing upward.

The people saying no better be Native. Non Natives really don't get to have a say in your uncomfortable feelings about the headdresses.😐

I'm really glad you brought this up, I'm not just agreeing with you because you're my friend. I'm not Native but I've always been iffy with the headdresses, they're stereotypical and just plain gross.

If someone who is Native is not comfortable with their culture being used as a decoration then it should be removed.

The main site artist Xylax (#4) has clarified before that all headdresses on Lioden are inspired by African tribes. As Lioden takes place in Africa, all official site backgrounds and decors are made within the context of African cultures unless explicitly stated otherwise (such as the Gorilla Enclave themes from other countries). No headdresses are inspired by Native American cultures as it would not fit in with the African theme of the game. Due to this, your suggestion has been rejected. If you would like to discuss this topic further, you're welcome to PM Abbey (#1) or email support@lioden.com, though we will not be removing the decors from the game or making adjustments to how they look.
