Story: Nico titled his head, "And what if I did?"

"I'll kill you." His opponent said plainly.

"So I'm not aloud to kiss your girl?" Nico knew he hadn't actually kissed this idiots girl, he just thought it would be funny, "How about this, you, me, have a little tussle and decide who gets her?"

They glared back at him for a few seconds before giving a small nod. They squared up and began to circle, "Shorty, I'll make this clear, I'm going to win so give it up."

Nico flipped it's pink hair back and sighed dramatically, "Shorty, my greatest weakness! What? No laughs, aww." Within the span of a few seconds, moments, Nico was at his target's throat. His claws dug into their neck before throwing them against the brick wall of the alley.

"Ouch! That looked like it hurt," Nico took a few moments to look at the blood drizzling down from his hand, "Where was I? Oh, right." It placed one hand on the other arm and gave a tug. His arm popped out of place with ease, and imediatly started to freak out. The clawed hand thrashed for a nearby surface before he dropped it. The arm crawled it's way across the stone and held down one foot, the other arm (which he struggled with) did the same. Nico was fully aware he looked insane when he approached with a devilish grin.

"What the hell?!" They coughed and screeched.

"Your voice is so annoying." Nico grumbled, swishing his tail back and forth, lifting his right leg to grab pin them the rest of the way down.

"I didn't kiss your girl, you kissed someones girl," It attached his arms back on, "He's a bit... Jealous."

"Please I did nothing!"

Nico scratched behind his ear, shifting his pink hair out of the way. Nico touched the tip of his horns, "Well we all know that's a lie!" It shifted his leg up, covering thier mouth and slowly digging in his claws, "Why'd you do it!? I'll kill you of you don't tell me!"

Silence and crying followed, "You better answer me!" Silence, "Fine then."

With a crackling sound he crushed thier head in it's clawed foot. Blood filled the alley way. A vicious smile crossing his face as he texted that it had finished the job. The blood slowly trickled as he raised his head in the basking light of the moon.

Medium Bio: Jackal gasped for breath, the constant patter of her mother's paws frightened her.

"Mother, where are we going?" Cattail muttered

"Far. Far away," Nova hissed.

"We live on the outskirts anyway, why do we have to leave? What's going to happen?" Jackal lifted her head to look at her mother. She didn't answer. They fell silent.

Jackal licked the rest of the bone clean of zebra meat, Cattail batting at her sister's tail. Her mother sat off in the corner, a shadow clouding her face. A month since she has seen her pride, her father. She clawed at the ground absent mindedly. Her father. Jackal knew nothing about him but what her mother told her. She was the illegitimate daughter of the king Heathen. Heathen the vicious killer and monster, untrustworthy ruler of the large pride the three lionesses once called home.

"She's getting worse." Cattail grumbled. She always grumbled. Cattail looked like an outsider in comparison to the others. Darker fur, different patterns, lighter markings. Jackal sighed, she was lighter and was a piebald, she was special, "Do you think she'll recover fully?" She lowered her head and took a glance back at her sister.

"Our mother is strong, she'll survive, just like us!" Jackal let out a soft purr like noise and rubbed against Cattail. Nova coughed, 7. 7 times she had coughed within a hour or two. A twisted feeling filled her.

"Mother! Nova!" Jackal collapsed at her mother's paws. She continued to cough blood and scratch at her throat.

"Hear my words! Jackal! Pay attention! You shall never, as long as your family lives, return to your monster of a father!" Nova's eyes turned to slits, "Cattail- You-"

She shaked violently, coughing and recoiling till Nova finally gave in and died.

"She never cared for me." Cattail broke the silence with a sharp hiss.

"What?"

"She never loved me, when ever she looked into my eyes she was reminded of him!" They stared at each other. Bowing their heads and cuddling up for the rest of the night

The two full grown lionesses stalked across the desert land. They were starving. Nothing in sight for miles, any pond barely contained enough water for a cub.

"We have to turn back! Head towards a pride's territory!" Cattail choked on dust.

"Heathen's is the closest! We have to keep going!"

"Why can't we go to his territory!" Cattail snarled over the thrashing winds mixing with sand.

"He's a monster! He hates us! He wanted us dead Cattail!" Jackal cried. They growled and hissed although it was drowned out on the sound of wind. A silent tear drizzled down her face, "Cattail I-"

Screaming. Yowling. Blood. Fangs. Claws. The lioness and stranger violently fought, Jackal shrinking back into the undergrowth.

"Get off me you rat brain!" Cattail screamed and slashed at the attacker. It appeared to me a giant male, muscular but starving. His bones showed but so did his muscle structure. They fought for minutes on end. Finally one of them gave out a final roar and the other lifted thier head victoriously before devouring small chunks of the other and stomping off. She slowly stepped forward and sniffed the air, blood over whelming her.

"Cattail-" Her voice shattered with tears and cries, "Cattail I'm sorry! I'm sorry!" A growl erupted in her throat, "I'll avenge you." Jackal snarled.

Jackal bowed before the king, "I wish to join you and your pride, I have no family to go to and I can provide anything you desire. I'm a piebald and can be of service to you as a hunter, broodmother or mate. I have no other purpose." Heathen tilted his head at her.

"Well then. I think we can indeed take you in," He smirked and jumped down beside her, "Welcome to Heathen's pride."
