"Pseudomelanism, also called abundism, is another variant of pigmentation, identifiable by dark spots or enlarged stripes, which cover a large part of the body of the animal"

Long story short this beautiful mutation would replicate that of irl big cat markings but a lot thicker!
(Photo below to hopefully make sense)

NOW, I'm well aware that this could be classified as patches mutation HOWEVER, these markings would be related to IRL Big cat markings! I could see beautiful lions being bred and customized with this lovely mutation. If you dont think this should be a mutation feel free to tell why below (please keep it civil ♡♡) that or if you think this should just be marking instead!!

I like the thought, but doesn't this only occur on cheetahs and tigers, who both already have prominent black markings? how would this work on lions? Making it effect a random black marking seems too specific to be practical.

This would affect many other big cats than just those two, I'll have to find some photos to add but I've seen Clouded leopards and ocelots with this mutation as well ^_^

Yes, I meant the two cats that appear in-game, I didnt specify that though my bad. Either way, my question is still how this would look on lions? All of the cats listed already have black markings, lions have no markings that I would expect pseudomelanism to affect.

That's why the mutation would be made to look like said markings/mutation, game development could make new markings just for this mutation alone (just like the piebald and patches mutations, they all have their own style/designs) this mutation would be the same thing except the lines would be drastically thicker so they look like said mutation (and the Mark's of said big cat as well) :)

As stated as well this could even be markings instead of a mutation too if people think it doesn't belong as a mutation (just cause it's a irl mutation I thought it would fit better here haha) :D

Sorry to be the annoying one but do you mean Pseudo-Melanism instead of "Pseudo Melenism"?
