I've been working on a pearl raffle marked king since late 2020 and then took a loooong hiatus due to life. I've been getting back into it and I think I need to remove my kings markings, because his markings seem to just pass onto every cub, even when breeding to lionesses with 5-7 raffle marks. I've only been getting ~3 raffle marks on my cubs, and I think if my king is markingless, I may have a much better chance.

I'm a pretty casual player so I've not done a lot of research on this, but I know a lot of people breed for raffle markings now, so I thought I would try to get some thoughts or advice in the forums before spending all the gb to remove Juubito's markings.

Additional info: all of my kings current markings are piety marks bought in November, I didn't breed for any of them. Nothing about him is BO except for his base (pearl).

I wouldn’t call removing applicable markings from a lion crazy.
About raffle markings passing, my Queen (a raffle lioness clone) has passed quite a few of her traits on near markingless NCLs, while only 2-3 passed when bred with other raffle marked lionesses.
(Maybe you could try your luck with this β€˜method’)

Having a BO based king without markings could be the start of a big RMA project, or just help with the passrate of your lionesses’ markings.

In the end the choice is yours, and i wish you luck with whatever you decide to go with!

Thank you! I think I am going to go ahead and remove his marks and see what happens, but I'll probably ruminate on it for at least another day or two. If it goes terribly I can always add them back next November, lol.
