Welcome to the Found Family, where the unwanted are welcome, and skills are touched upon! This pride doesn't collect NCLs like pokémon cards...they gain their pride through word of mouth through the training center, giveaways, or the Giving Tree! This game kingdom thingy is inspired by ⭐Starfruit 🍑 (#171151)'s Kingdom of Colorbombs. If you want to participate, ask them! As long as you get their permission, I would be happy with you using this ruleset. This is their original idea, after all. This doesn't matter when we're trying to create a found family! • To start this kingdom, I will hop on giveaway chat and claim 1 submale and 3 lionesses! • In order to get more attached to my pride, I will write lore! At least 1 paragraph minimum! PRIDE ACTIVITY All pride members will be tracked as follows: Name, Role ??/10 morale Lioness activity (good/bad news for the day listed below.) • Wait...what's morale? I shall use my RNG to determine this. Each lion(ess) begins life in the pride with 5 morale. With RNG, I'll either get a chance to gain +1 morale, no morale, or -1 morale. If a lion(ess) reaches 0 morale, they shall leave the pride. If a lioness gets 10 morale, they get a major role boost! Read more under each role. • Just for fun, I shall provide what I call the stigma count! I keep count of all the bloodlines of lions I collect. This consist of these statistics: Clean (no inbreeding or impure) Dirty (inbreeding only) Impure (big 4 only) Absolutely foul (inbreeding AND big 4) Amount adopted from giveaways Amount adopted from the Giving Tree Amount adopted from the Trade Center ROLES Lionesses bearing the roles shall have emojis listed with their names! When a new babe is introduced to the pride, roll a die! They get a lovely new role to work in! LIONESS ROLES 🌲 Arbor Aficionado (0/1) 🌲 AFICIONADO IS REQUIRED FOR GIVING TREE ADOPTION Arbor Aficionados are enamored with nature and the gifts they have in store! Rendered unable to carry their cubs full-term, Arbor Aficionados have made friends with a primate from a giving tree. Every month, these hopeful lionesses will find a cub or adolescent provided by their friend, bringing it to the pride leader with glee! With Fatherly lions, you can have two Aficionados so that each could get a cub/adol. ★ Should an Aficionado cub grow up, both the cub and Aficionado earns 1 morale! If it ends up dying prematurely, the Aficionado loses 1 morale. ★ PROS: New cubs daily! CONS: Mother is treated as infertile; never breed to the Arbor Aficionado! MORALE BOOST: Gain 2 tree cubs! If you have 2 boosted Aficionados, gain 4 (treat any cubs from the TC as a bonus cub in this case)! 🔪Huntresses (0/5)🔪 Lionesses are expected to provide for their clan, and five of them showed off their proficient hunting skills! These lionesses all remain in one hunting party, where they are close friends at best, and cordial at worst. Out of respect, Huntresses are the first to be fed in the pride. ★ Successful hunts keep hunter morale stagnant! Unsuccessful hunts lower the morale of the (involved) hunting party members by 1. ★ ★ In order to gain morale, hunters need to be fully satisfied! Gain +1 morale if your huntress is at 0% hunger and 100% mood! ★ ★ Did a lioness gain a scar during their hunt? Roll a 0-amount of morale the lioness has. Subtract her morale by the number she got. If her morale is reduced to 0, she has been killed during the hunt. If she didn't lose any morale, feel free to remove her scar as she fully healed! ★ PROS: Pride food source! CONS: Easy to lower morale and lose huntresses. MORALE BOOST: Buy a food bundle per each boosted lioness! They were very proficient in their hunt! You won't starve for a while...or maybe you'll make good money with that! 🔆 Broodmothers (0/2)🔆 In charge of watching the pride's young, Broodmothers have a huge weight on their shoulders. Sure, they get to experience the joy of caring for cubs, but they can't always keep their eyes on the children! Broodmothers are able to care for 2 cubs comfortably. ★ Broodmothers watching 0 cubs keep stagnant morale. Broodmothers watching 1-2 cubs gain 1 morale per 2 rollovers. Broodmothers watching 3+ cubs lose 1 morale per 2 rollovers. You cannot remove cubs in order to avoid morale decay. ★ PROS: Decent cub care! CONS: Unhappy Broodmothers = potentially lowering survival rates. MORALE BOOST: Buy a nesting material per boosted Broodmother! They decided to teach a valuable lessons to the cubbins about proper nest building! 🍰 Soothsayer (0/1) 🍰 SOOTHSAYER REQUIRED FOR TRADING POST ADOPTION The Soothsayer is a special lioness known for her keen prediction skills. Her main predictions? A valuable lion(ess) entering the pride! Where from, though? She refuses to tell...Use RNG for this one! Roll a d6. ★ If you rolled an 1-2, Soothsayer successfully predicted a cub or adol arriving; her morale remains stagnant. If you rolled an 3-4, Soothsayer successfully predicted an adult arriving; she gains 1 morale. If you rolled an 5-6, Soothsayer was incorrect; she loses 1 morale.★ ★ If her predicted cub ends up dying prematurely, Soothsayer loses 1 morale as well. ★ PROS: More potential adults! CONS: Soothsayer will easily lose morale. MORALE BOOST: Soothsayer said that there are multiple blessings today! Find a trade with multiple lions in it! If you don't have the space, Soothsayer doesn't mind. 📢 Busybody 📢 (0/1) BUSYBODY REQUIRED FOR ADOPTION ON GIVEAWAY CHAT The Busybody loves prying in other's business! So much so, they get to learn more about what lions are being kicked out and contemplating on leaving. Only once a day, the Busybody shall use her charisma! The Busybody, of course, will not target giveaways that frown upon chasing goodies in the potential future. ★ If a Busybody successfully persuades a lion into joining the pride, she earns 1 morale. If she is unsuccessful and if she decides not to persuade, she loses 1 morale. ★ PROS: Potential new lions! CONS: Once a day, Busybody doesn't do a ton of working. MORALE BOOST: The Busybody can attempt to convince two lions to join the pride! MALE ROLES (Not all will be filled, of course! This is more like a game of chance!) 💰Treasure Hunter (0/2)💰 Treasure Hunters love collecting goods! Expect to see them with a large pile of treasure in their dens... • lose morale if you find nothing • gain morale if you find an item during patrol! • If killed by the Narcissist, take half of your SB and donate it to the Giving Tree! 🥀Narcissist (0/2)🥀 Narcissists have a high ego. These vain sirs want to prove that they are worth more than the whole pride. • lose morale if you find nothing • gain morale if they didn't patrol at all this rollover • If morale is at 1-3, the Narcissist has a chance to kill a lion(ess) at rollover. Randomly roll your pride, and roll a d20. If you get an even number, the Narcissist is successful and earns +1 morale. If the Narcissist slays one of your males, you could get a devastating blow to your pride! 🃏Jester (0/2)🃏 Jesters have no desire to become a king. The Jester just wants to entertain everyone! It would be no surprise if the king himself chose to make them their heir, though—in fact, they are very valid candidates! • gains morale if patrolling with a submale. • loses morale if they gain a scar via tussling. • If killed by the Narcissist, everyone loses -1 morale. ⚔️Guardian⚔️ The most protective of the bunch of submales, the Guardian eyes the territory very intently. The Guardian could also be seen following hunting parties on their way to patrol. • Gains morale if the most recent attack had a successful defense. • Loses morale if the most recent attack had an unsuccessful defense. • If killed by the Narcissist, give away a random lioness, lion, or cub! Your defenses got low, so you lost one of your valuable lionesses! SPECIAL ACTIVITIES I love abusing my Random Number Generator! As such, I will use it to determine any random events! These are called special activities! The chance to get one of these events is very rare! Roll a 1-100 0-97 — Nothing happens! 98 — Today is a hard day...Give everyone -1 morale. 99 — Everyone feels great today! Give everyone +1 morale. 100 — Plague! For each pride member, roll a d12. If you get a 12, immediately chase them as they died! If you get a 6, give that lion away as they fear getting ill! Month 1 Beaumont knew he chose the perfect place to build his pride. The grasslands were a practical place to live; they were easy to hide in, yet a beautiful place to reside around. The temporary shelter the lionesses built were less than practical, though...but hey, it worked. Beaumont wandered about in his territory, kicking buts of dirt and pebbles around until... "Mr. Beckett! Mr. Beckett!" Beaumont turned his head, his eyes focusing on the lioness who called him out: a tan lioness who maintained a wide grin. Her green and blue eyes glinted in the sun as much as her yellowed teeth did. This was Almond, the nosy Busybody who joined Beaumont's search. "Mrs. Aberdeen. It is great to see you again," Beaumont responded, a smirk spread across his face. At his reply, Almond beamed gleefully, her toes tapping against the ground. "Oh, I have such good news for you! So, I was out earlier today, and, well...I walked past a pride, and a little birdie told me that someone wanted out...so, well, I convinced her to come join us! It was a bit hard; she looked a smidge nervous...but I did it!" "Oh, is that right?" "Mhm! I gave her directions to here! She will introduce herself as Bridget Ogden. She mentioned that she has a good friend that will help our pride grow." "Ah, that is...excellent. Very excellent." Beaumont's smirk grew into a smile, his chin pointed up whilst he spoke. The growing pride was getting amazing luck recently. First, a mysterious cub arrived, and now this? This was amazing. Beaumont was a good leader. He knew it very well. "Ah, that is wonderful news! More help for us!" Beaumont turned at the second voice that piped up. Zuzia was standing from a distance; seemingly, she was eavesdropping on the conversation. How rude. Beaumont narrowed his eyelids at the Broodmother, who padded closer to the pair. Zuzia's smile is warm, which made Almond even more giddy. "When is Bridget coming?" Zuzia inquired to Almond, her dark-tinted ears flicking. "She said she should be coming in three days, should she not have any delays. Ooh, I'm so excited!" Almond replied. With how wide her smile was, it would be no surprise if her cheeks started hurting. "I sure hope we see her soon. Come along, Santina and I are almost done building our cave." Almond happily padded alongside Zuzia, playfully bumping her side against hers. However, the two suddenly halted, whispering to each other before each turning their heads to Beaumont. "Would you like to come with us? We would sure love to do this with you, Beau!" Almond chirruped, batting her eyelashes whilst she spoke. Beaumont merely narrowed his eyes at the pair, heaving out an exhale. "Why would I? I've been exploring all day just to fill your bellies. Of course, I'm not going to dirty my paws with such lowly work. Be grateful that I'm putting in all this effort for you lot." Upon hearing Beaumont's bitter response, the pair of lionesses' eyes widened in shock. The two failed to find their words, spluttering a bit until Zuzia finally uttered: "Oh, uhm...fair enough. If you need us, we'll be building our cavern, sir." At that, the pair wandered off, Beaumont eyeing them whilst he did so. Good on him for putting his foot down. He is a leader; he isn't going to involve himself in such menial work. ------------------ "I...I hope he doesn't mind, but I brought a few friends along as well." The striped lioness dipped her head, allowing a heavy exhale to escape through her nostrils. She turned her head to gesture to a pair that was catching up with her: a brown cub and a golden lioness, who was struggling to corral the younger party along with her. She then returned her attention to the cream lioness that stood in front of her. The aforementioned Zuzia eyed the trio intently, her muzzle pursed. "My name is Bridget Ogden. I come with my friend Bask, and my daughter Rumhilt. We've been trying to find home for some time," the second party huffed, drooping her eyelids. The trio were clearly exhausted from their trip. "Ah! We've been expecting you!" Zuzia chirruped, flicking her tail, "Follow Santina, you two. She'll lead you to Beaumont. We welcome you with open arms. As for you, Rumhilt, you will come with me. I have a new friend for you." ------------------- King Activity: King Beaumont Beckett Level 1 — Level 5 Barely Noticeable — Not Very Impressive Lioness Activity: Almond, Busybody 6/10 morale • Almond managed to convince Bridget Ogden to join the found family! Bridget is now an Arbor Aficionado. Almond gains 1 morale! Santina, Soothsayer 5/10 morale • (rolled 2) Santina foretells the arrival of a young lion. With the arrival of Nina Baran, her morale remains stagnant. Zuzia, Broodmother 5/10 morale • Zuzia took in Nina and Rumhilt. In two rollovers, she will gain morale. Newcomers (in order of arrival: Bridget, Arbor Aficionado 5/10 morale • She arrived with a cub! Rumhilt Ogden joins the pride as well. If Rumhilt manages to survive, both she and Bridget earn 1 morale. Nina, Infant 5/10 morale Bask, Huntress (she was meant to be one of my starters...but I got too impatient and snagged two of my giveaway babes instead. Month 2 Beaumont exhaled whilst he stood at the mouth of his cave, squinting at the spacious land. There was so much activity going on now. It was getting crowded here. He peered intently at all the lionesses wandering about, the cubs tackling each other...wait, where did that adolescent come from? Beaumont stood up to investigate, only to get interrupted by Santina, who padded up to his side. "Greetings, Mr. Beckett. I do not think I ever got the chance to properly talk to you." "Ah, Mrs. Turati. It is a pleasure to meet you again." "Oh, no, I am a 'miss'. The only lover I have had was merely a fling." "No, you are a 'Mrs.'. You are one of my wives." At his response, she stared at him slack jawed. As soon as she processed Beaumont's audacious statement, she abruptly shook her head before spluttering out, "Ahm...anyways...you should introduce yourself to these newcomers. I—I want to see if we are getting rain or a dry spell tomorrow." "Oh... alright." "Their names are Dharia and Lotte...and the younger lady is Jasna—she is Bridget's new daughter. Be careful with them; they are quite the unpredictable bunch." Month 3 The messily-built cave the lionesses worked together to construct...well, it worked. The environment properly adjusted to the change of temperature, and the floor definitely comfortable. It was habitable enough to sleep in, but not enough to call a homey cave. In other words, it should be comfortable enough to sleep in. So why can't Zuzia sleep? There has got to be a good reason...except, for some reason, she can't find a way to reason at all. She had only given birth to her sole daughter a few days ago along with Almond, who seemed to adjust perfectly fine. Zuzia eyed at the fellow mother across the room, furrowing her brows at the lioness curled up with her cub. She was jealous—how could she manage to do it? Zuzia worked with cubs exceptionally, so why is it so hard to adjust to having her own daughter? She could feel her eyes sting, and a choked-up whine sound from the back of her throat. "Zuzia? Are you alright?" Zuzia abruptly whipped her head up, the figure standing above her slightly obscuring the shine of the moonlight. She squinted her eyes until she can make out... "Dharia?" "I could hear you crying. That won't do at all." This was odd. Dharia was usually making snide comments at her fellow pridemates. She has no clue what she did to deserve this sudden burst of respect. She has no clue what she did to deserve Dharia's warm smile and gentle grooming at her cheek. "Did you eat today? I haven't seen you eat a proper meal ever since the little one was born," the younger party enquired, circling around Zuzia in order to eye the tiny cub nestled next to her, "Did you name her yet?" Oh! Zuzia was such a nervous wreck, she could barely even have time to name her. Zuzia dipped her head towards her side, eyeing her cub intently before meekly shaking her head at Dharia. As soon as she returned her gaze to Dharia, the younger party flopped next to her, heaving out an exhale whilst she did so. "Oh, alright. Well, if you need, I can watch the little one for you," Dharia replied, drooping her eyelids whilst she spoke. Zuzia widened her eyes at the younger party. She allowed her lips to curl upwards, only for it to falter the longer she thought. "But...but you already have your paws full with Adara and Kenji. Are you sure you could handle it?" "Ah, don't worry about me! I'm willing to make sacrifices; you're clearly not well enough to watch a whole pawful. Think of it as a...a favor!" "And I'll repay you for it!" "Well, you don't have to, but...but that's what friends are for!" Zuzia returned a smile at Dharia, turning to stare at the mouth of the cave. She never realized how nice it looked; she usually avoided the view and fell asleep immediately. However, right now, it felt serene. Zuzia could feel her tension easing. Eventually, she returned her gaze over to Dharia, who's paws were tucked underneath her chin. "Hey, do you have any...name suggestions?" Zuzia enquired, prompting Dharia to perk back up. "Name suggestions? I'm—I'm terrible at names, hoo, boy," Dharia spluttered, whipping her head to face the elder party. After allowing her eyes to dart outdoors, she returned her gaze to Zuzia before commenting, "Though...your cub makes me think of daisies. It might just be the fur...but she also smells nice. Like...wet dirt." Zuzia chuckled at Dharia's sudden nervousness, bumping the side of her head against hers before returning her gaze to her cub. Daises, hm? Mayhaps Dharia found the perfect name for her. She will have to tell Beaumont tomorrow. Month 4 "Well, would you look at that." Bridget's lips were curled up at her statement, her head tipped to marvel in her fellow pleased lionesses. What were they all proud of? The brand new cave they had built! It surely looked more put together, but mayhaps it was all due to the extra paws that were ready. Bridget turned her head, examining the medley of cubs and adolescents herded by Dharia and Zuzia before beginning to make her way over to them. She couldn't wait to tell them that they have a new cave to reside in. It was much more spacious than the cave they were staying in now, anyways. King Activity: King Beaumont Beckett Level 5 Not Very Impressive — Not Impressive Lioness Activity: ALL ROLES HAVE BEEN FILLED! From now on, denizens and role bearers will be listed separately. Denizens will be absent from Lioness Activity, as they have no activity to track! Aina, Huntress 6/10 morale • Aina was successful in all of her hunts! She gains +1 morale. Almond, Busybody 8/10 morale • Almond convinced Chocolate to join the found family! She earns +1 morale. • Currently nursing Adara! Month 5 (Couldn't get this in before rollover! This was yesterday's month; today's month will come later today! Beaumont purred whilst he stepped into the lionesses' den. He decided to come visit his children today! A truly nice sentiment...if he actually did that. What he actually did was make a beeline directly towards Adara. Of course he did; not only was the the first born out of all of his children, he considered her the splitting image of him. He could care less about the judgemental looks from the fellow lionesses. He was going to spend time with his other children, too! However, not all tongues will remain bitten, and Bridget eventually padded up to the Beau. After she gestured towards the mouth of the cave, Beau exhaled through his nose, nudging Adara towards her broodmother prior to following the elder party. "You know, I've seen how you've been behaving with the cubs—" "I'm doing good, right?" Bridget glowered at Beaumont's interruption, the king blissfully ignoring her. As soon as she collected her thoughts, she allowed her eyes to dart to the side prior to continuing, "Well...uhm...you're doing okay so far, but—" "Okay? I'm anything but okay; I am such a good father. You've seen it!" "Yeah, right. You can't just pick and choose favorites! Month 6 This was so stressful. By Gods, this was stressful. The lionesses seemed to be taking turns watching out for Bridget to return, but alas, she was nowhere to be seen. How long has it been since she fled the pride? Weeks? Months, even? However long it had been, Bridget's absence left her family's hearts heavy, and their minds full of worry. However, one fateful night would put the found family's worries at ease. With a crack of a twig, the members residing in the concubine's cavern jolted awake. Multicolored eyes peered from the dark intently at a familiar striped lioness and a lesser familiar younger party. Was that...Bridget? Was she home at last? The lionesses slowly crept up to the figure, sniffing her intently—the familiar smell of sap and mud overwhelmed their noses. The longer they took to take her presence in, the more excitable her family grew, and they quickly pulled her into a warm embrace! Bridget was back home at last. All she needed to do now was spend some deserved quality time with her cubs and introduce them to their newfound brother. Month 7 Beaumont padded around the his territory, paying no mind to the occasional glares he got from his fellow lionesses. He never noticed, nor did he care to; nothing mattered when you had a sliver of power. They could look past what happened two months ago. Nobody could hold a grudge that long, right..? Beaumont halted himself, noticing an odd-appearing adolescent chattering with a litter of cubs. Who was this stranger? His pelt was colorful, a soft rainbow emanated from a pelt. This guy was clearly seeking attention, and no one was taking attention from Beau. After heaving out a snort, he barged up to the young lion, who turned to eye the king. "What do you think you're doing here, boy? I've seen you hanging around here plenty of times," Beaumont grumbled, narrowing his eyes at the adolescent. After the younger party let out a chuckle, he stepped closer to Beaumont. "Ah, Mr. Beaumont Beckett. Glad to get a chance to speak to you. I am Deimos Papadopoulos, the first of my name. I am the eldest son of Bridget; I feel you are familiar with her. Though I do not possess her surname, I am just as much of an Ogden as my fellow adoptive brothers and sisters are. She saved me during a rough patch of my life, and I am forever in her—and, by extension, your debts." Beaumont squinted at the younger party more. Bridget, hm? He has to respect her for finding such a charming young boy—wait, no, he doesn't. He's a king; he will only extend respect to those who deserve it. Beaumont merely let out a snort before turning his chin up. "Hm, I have to give it to you, whoever had you before they pawned you off provided some wisdom. You look weak, but we'll beef you up, boy. As long as you provide for this pride when you're grown, you're welcome to stay." Deimos dipped his head, allowing his jowls to lift up to reveal a set of yellowed teeth. "Thank you for being generous, Beaumont. I will do my best to provide for the family." Month 8 TW: Character Death Chocolate stirred awake, letting out a whimper whilst she did so. God, her leg hurt. What even happened? She attempted to push herself up, only to falter when she attempted to balance herself. Chocolate couldn't walk in this state. She peered around the field, eyeing the bloodstained dust until she finally noticed her hunting party gathered in a hemisphere. She tried desperately to drag herself along the floor, twigs clinging against her dark pelt. When she finally caught the attention of three of the members, they gathered up to her, all three sobbing tears out of relief. They were all pleased that she managed to survive; Aina, Bask, Lotte...but Lisbet? Chocolate peered around, attempting to catch a glimpse of her friend until, eventually...she spotted a limp body from betwixt her party's legs. Just then, she realized that the blood pooled on the ground didn't only belong to their prey. A life had withered away, and later, two more even fragile ones will do the same. Month 9 Chocolate awoke in the middle of the night, stretching her body prior to standing up on her feet. Her leg had healed enough for her to walk around, however she had been delegated to eyeing the fields for hazards. The pride needed to be wary with how feral the wildebeest we're last month. Chocolate sashayed her way over to the mouth of the cave, where she met Aina, who stood still whilst she eyed the outdoors. Her eyes appeared glassy through the limited light. Taking care not to startle the younger party, Chocolate slowed her pace so that she could gently rub her cheek against hers. The two stood in silence until the silverly lioness enquired: "Are you...mad at me?" Chocolate turned to eye Aina, fluttering her eyelashes out of surprise. She wasn't expecting any conversation, let alone anything leading to deeper topics. "This is about last month, isn't it? I've never been mad at you! Why would you think that?" At first, Aina kept her lips pursed shut. However, she couldn't let herself remain quiet anymore. After nervously eyeing the dust, she tentatively murmured, "Well, I was talking to Deimos about everything that happened, and, well, he said..." Aina hesitated. "...he said it was my fault Lisbet died and you're hurt. I was the one stalking the wildebeest calves. I was the one who alerted the stampede. I was the one who made Lisbet sacrifice herself for me. Sometimes, I think about what would have changed if I were the one who got trampled instead." Chocolate pursed her lips. She definitely wasn't expecting this. She definitely wasn't well-equipped with such intricate thoughts. "You're an excellent hunter. Do you have any advice? I have...no clue what I'm feeling." Chocolate had no clue either. She felt so bad thinking of how to break this news to the young lioness next to her. All she could do was furrow a brow and state: "Ahm...ask Shazi. She's better versed in advice." "Oh...uh, okay. I just thought that maybe—" "Ask Shazi." Aina allowed her lips to part, a nervous chirrup escaping the back of her throat. She tentatively nodded in response before turning her gaze to the outdoors. Month 10 The sounds of giggling flourished in the air. The air was crisp and the soil was moist. Not quite an ideal time for cubs to not be rolling around in the mud, but nobody was interested in that at the moment. All five of Beaumont's weaned were searching, and they were scrounging around real hard. What were they looking for? All the adults have asked, but failed to get any answers. Only then did the lionesses realize when they spotted their father hiding behind a rock, lifting up his tail to hush his wives whilst suppressing a chortle. What a good hider. Month 11 Aina heaved out an exhale, stepping into Beaumont's cave. As far as she was aware, it was rare to be invited to the king's cave, so Aina felt special. She eyed the walls intently; they were adorned with claw marks of varying lengths. The floor had a humble of bones, ruined pelts, and feathers. As soon as she finished taking in her surroundings, she tilted her head up and eyed the king himself: he appeared a bit...older? Wiser? Aina had no clue what words she should use. Maybe it was her bias; he did let her stay before she grew up, after all. "Mr. Beckett? You wanted me?" Aina enquired. She was visibly nervous and excited to speak to the king. After he stretched his limbs, Beaumont stood up and made his way over to the younger lioness. After his jowls curled into a smirk, he dipped his head towards the younger party, who eyed him intently. "I've seen you and the other huntresses hunting sometimes. You seem like you're quite enjoying your job. You're quite skilled at hunting," Beaumont stated, prompting Aina to beam at him. "Oh, yeah! Thank you, Mr. Beckett! I've been training real hard lately! I'm glad you see it's all paying off!" Aina beamed, fluttering her eyelashes whilst she spoke. "Mhm, we could use more lionesses with as much drive as yours." Beaumont purred. He allowed his eyelids to droop, lifting his head up to eye the outdoors. After Aina tilted her head to attempt to see where Beau was looking at, she returned her gaze over to him whilst her nostrils flared up. "Is that all you wanted me for? Because if it is, I'll go finish building my nest. Our cubs are due to arrive soon." "No—wait, I actually have a proposition for you," the elder party stated, making direct eye contact with Aina, "It is quite nice this evening. How about we go take a walk? I can show you the paths I usually take while I'm exploring." Aina batted her eyelashes at Beaumont. Her? Explore with Beaumont? She hadn't seen him take walks with his other wives. "Ah, wow, really? I would enjoy that." "Very well. I'll let you build your nest, then meet me here." "Ah, thank you for this opportunity! I appreciate it a lot!" After watching Beaumont nod at her, Aina turned around and padded out a cave. A walk out with Beaumont Beckett? How exciting! Month 12 Beaumont's family was beautiful. Sure, the area they were living in was barren, but he grew to get used to it and told his fellow pridemates to do the same. What was hard to get used to, though, were all the cubs that were running amok—both his own children and adoptive children... Bridget's adoptive children. Speaking of which, Beaumont had no clue where she was finding all these cubs. Maybe now is a good time to ask? She's here now, anyways. Beaumont began to pad to the lioness, only to halt himself when a thought crossed his mind. He remembered the cruel comment he made to the lioness. Was she thinking of it, too? Now that he thought about it, he noticed that Bridget had been avoiding him. How long was she going to hold this grudge? Beaumont narrowed his eyes at Bridget, who was now conversing with Santina. Maybe it's best that he left her alone...or maybe he could try to show her how much he cared? Beaumont padded up to Bridget's teenaged cubs, his jowls lifted up in a toothy grin. "How about I take you lot to the waterhole?" Beau enquired, his voice dripping with saccharine fatherliness...is that a word? "After all, next month, Deimos becomes an adult. I would...love...to get to know my adoptive children." Met with excited chattering from his adoptive offspring, he turned to pad out of the clearing, his youth in tow.
