Bloodthirsty and easily excited, Katsani takes everything as a challenge and loves to win. She is overly competitive and can often be found racing across the plains following the hunts. Katsani quiet literally lives for the hunt and carnage, soaking in the bloodied fields is her favorite past time

Backstory:
Born long before the prides were even thought about, Katsani grew up with a different name and with different morales. However, she was caught by hunters and brutally mutilated before she escaped. She tried to run for her life, finally learning what prey felt when she hunted. She never made it and died only a few steps from the freedom she hoped her pride would afford her.

Katsani does not remember how she became what she is now, only that she never wants to be the prey again. During the great hunger, Katsani was far more active and powerful as then everyone was afraid of being hunted and hunting each other. During this time, she met up with a snake deity who seemed to enjoy the carnage as much as she did. Ever since, the two have been near inseparable and Katsani has taken to calling the snake Calliope.

Rituals- She does not care when they are done, only that the prey is still alive and chased to her alter before being killed in the most gruesome of fashions. The more bloodthirsty the killer, the greater her favor.

Name: Achlys

Age: The oldest of the Deities, unknown by just how much

Gender: nonbinary, they/them exclusively

Deity of: Death

Personality:
They rarely ever speak, but when they do they almost always have a wing in front of their mouth to hide it.

Frostbitten base with the undead decor and angelic wings. Their mouth is long and curled, with many sharp teeth poking out at odd angles. Achlys always wears a veiled crown of dark jewels to hide their eyeless face. They were a necklace made of offered teeth. Angelic growths sprout from their front legs and tail, accompanied by blue flames on their paws.

Orientation: Demisexual and demiromantic

Backstory:
Aloof and distant, Achlys is rarely spotted interacting with anyone- be they priestess, deity, or mortal. They do not speak of their past, nor do they talk of their work. Achlys only very rarely removes their crowned veil to reveal the lack of eyes beneath the purple garment. They help other deities when they are allowed and welcomed, but usually Achlys works alone with only the celestials at their side.

Achlys and Lithrit have been friends for a long time and the deity fears the day when the goddess of healing becomes corrupted and dies. It is a race to see who can get the soul first for Achlys, always fearful Lithrit will save one more. If they are worried about making it before the goddess, Achlys is not above distracting or sabotaging the other.

They have a strict loathing of Katsani, who always rushes people's lives. Achlys likes it when lives play out their full amount and those who end them abruptly drive the spirit insane.

If Achlys is forced to respond to a priest, they do so through visions and dreams. There are rarely any words used, even within the visions.

Rituals- Achlys, contrary to their looks and status, prefers the rituals to happen at sunrise. Their altar is to be adorned in freshly picked flowers and still green tree limbs. As the day commences, these offerings wither and die much quicker than one would expect.

Offerings- a lock of fur from a since passed relative who is still loved, a cub's baby tooth, the bones from an adol's first kill. If the offering has significance to the life story of the offerer, Achlys will accept it gladly.

Name: Infortunium

Personality:
Pessimistic and gloomy, Infortunium thinks silver linings are for fools and wishful thinkers.

Sunset base with celestial sparkles and Uneven Patches. He has two sets of wings- eldritch demon and night wings- along with a lavish mane. He also has golden chains embedded in his body, as if a joke of his fortune. He wears moonstone bracelets and has a blue flame on his tail tip. Two pairs of horns sprout from his head, one curving back and the other pair curving forward. One eyes is cucumber and the other is saffron. He is always wearing a lucky lamb foot as well. Wherever he walks, three and five leaf clovers sprout in his footsteps, never four leaf.

Name: Fjolla

Age: Unknown

Gender: Genderfluid, usually presents as female

Personality: Cold yet intense, Fjolla is known for her quick mood swings and overbearing behavior. Like an avalanche, she strikes at once, never letting you rest once her claws have sank their way into your mind. However, the goddess has a softer side after the waves of intensity. Little more is known about her, as she rarely shows herself, but it should be noted the Fjolla prefers not to communicate with priestesses and lions directly, but rather through cryptic signs and signals for her own amusement.

Appearance: Fjolla is a tall, well-muscled lioness with a slight mane, blue and silver fur, and fogged eyes. Her fur is long and course, well suited for treks into the mountains, and provides excellent cover in both glaciers and snowy fields. The goddess has a flame-like smoke that spills out from her tail-tip, leaving an icy trail behind her wherever she goes. She can usually be found wearing subtle silver and blue jewelry, with her main accent piece being a large grandidierite necklace.

Backstory: Little is known about Fjolla's time with the living, for she refuses to speak of it. What has been dragged out of her is little bits and pieces of information that seems nonsensical at first glance. Fjolla was a lioness from a time before the prides and lived among a group of travelers. She claims to have been frozen and is waiting to thaw. She also claims to have had no knowledge of the deities known to the prides and instead prayed to others that she was never able to meet. Other than these tidbits, she has surrounded no information.

Name: Sakina

Personality: Bitter yet charming, Sakina is a less than ideal candidate for the job of being a Haven Pride deity. She has a short temper and an eye for things that aren't hers, leading to many unsavory situations. The goddess is quick to start fights, and even quicker to fuel the fights of others when given the opportunity. She tends to hold grudges for far longer than what is considered healthy, and has a warped view of revenge and what is morally acceptable when it comes to vengeance. Sakina has a strong dislike for the universe and believes it to be a cruel force that exists only to force wrongdoers into eternal suffering, though this is undoubtedly only due to her own fate in the afterlife. When inevitably forced to spread peace, the goddess is miserable and sarcastic, constantly complaining about her situation.

Appearance: Sakina is a slim and short-statured lioness with twin tails. Her short and sleek fur is a mixture of pastel pinks, blues, purples, and white, leaving a beautiful pelt that seems to have been painted by the sunset. Her eyes seem to match her pelt, just to a less pigmented degree. She can usually be found wearing pink jewels that have no doubt been swiped from those around her in both life and death, and at times, she'll add more to her appearance if the jewelry of someone else catches her eye.

Backstory: Once a living member of a pride far from the four known to her now, Sakina was a thief who snatched whatever shiny object caught her eye. She was known for her kleptomania and aggressiveness, something that led to a great deal of unrest within her home pride. It wasn't uncommon for the lioness to steal from those in the royal family, something that ultimately sealed her doom. At the age of 4 years exactly, Sakina snuck into the royal cave and attempted to run off with a beautiful tail wrap made from murex shells, flowers, and gazelle hide. She was confronted by the king, however, and chose to bring her claws to his pelt. The battle could not have been won, not with the king and his guards, and the next thing the lioness knew, she had awoken at the bottom of Haven Pride's lake, no longer living but also not dead. She was trapped in limbo, forced to repent for the life she had lived and instead aid others with the opposite of everything she had been known for. That wasn't exactly something she was happy with, and as one of the newest deities, she still holds on to the hope that perhaps she can go back to the life she once lived.

Goddess Of: Luck, Jewels, & Fortune.

Personality: Fortunae is a childish, playful, sassy, yet pouty lioness. She is friendly and welcoming to others, but can also sometimes be too nosy in conversations and other people's business. She also refuses to get wet since she hates having cold and plastered fur, so she almost always refuses to go into water unless there's no other way around. (Perhaps also something to do with her backstory )

Backstory: Attempting to defend her pride and her brother from an enemy attack along with other warriors, she was thrown into the river that ran through her pride's territory, and unfortunately drowned. However, she drowned in the bank of a gold mine, and was given the role of a diety/god, in order to give lions fortune and luck, with her symbol being jewels, gold nuggets, and precious gems.

Name: Lullaby

Age: Old as fucking oxygen.

Gender: Male (though they are fine being referred to as a female or anything else).

God Of: Nightmares, Bad Omens & Fear.

Personality: Lullaby is a calm, cruel, yet wise deity. He is known for terrorizing lions who have wronged others in unspeakable ways, if they had expected no consequences. He rarely has a temper, and whenever he unleashes it, he can get very loud and aggravated. When angry or annoyed, he raises his voice so it is able to loud echo as a tactic of intimidation, but normally he is very quiet. While he is cruel and mischievous, he is warm and giving to a few certain lions, only tolerating them over anyone else.

Backstory: Sometimes, Lullaby himself doesn't quite remember his past, but it is rare that he shares his past. Once the pridelands were first made, he was training to become a warrior to prove to his pride that he could be reliable, but he was unfortunately killed in a hyena attack. He's been wandering the lands since the dawn of time, always being the fear that lions of all kinds knew. He was seen as a figure of horror, and an omen to terrible outcomes to lions he appeared to. He is cruel and terrifying, willing to terrorize any lion that he felt needed a hit of karma. Despite his terrifying ways, he still wants everyone to feel safe, and only terrifies lions who are in the wrong as a punishment for their actions.
