I did a small version of this in chat last night, but it was suggested to me to make it a forum game, so here we are!

If you would like to donate to prizes, DM me so I can set that up for a future round.
Here's how it'll work. I'll post a question to be answered. Players have 24 hours from when the question was posed to submit an answer, OR until the correct answer is given. The first to answer correctly will win the prize. For future rounds I'll set up prize tiers if there is enough interest.
Questions will likely be largely animal-based, but I might mix things up with something nerdy here and there.

RULES:
- Don't look up answers, it just makes it less fun and fair for everyone.
- Don't be a sore loser. I will try to keep things fair!
- Only one guess per player per round. If the correct answer is not guessed within the time limit, a new question will be posted and nobody will win the prize that round.
- You may ask clarifying questions, but they may or may not be answered if they give too much away.
- Have fun!

QUESTION ONE
Ostriches belong to what group of mostly large, flightless birds?

Prize:
Supernal Fur applicator

Hello!

Are the other members of the same family grouping also commonly terrestrial/land related birds? Example they don’t spend time in bodies of water like ducks or penguins.

Yup there are which is another reason why birds are pretty interesting!

Do you mean as in this type more specific (infra-class Palaeognathae) or like genus or something else?

I need a bit more detail to count that answer. There's a specific thing about them that causes their infertility.
