🌿🍃 FIRST TIME BREEDER ADVICE?🍃🌿 🌿🍃🌷🍃🌿
Hello, hello! I have been playing Lioden on and off for years, but I've never had any particular breeding projects before. Up until now, I've been more of a 'breed two lions that look cool and hope their kids also look cool' kind of player. I've never even really gone near mutations.

As I'm getting back into the game, though, I thought I would try to actually breed something more specific for my next king! Seeing as I am essentially a fresh-faced newbie when it comes to proper breeding, I thought I would take advantage of the forums to ask for some advice!

On a specific note, I'm hoping to breed a bushveld heir with water hyacinth markings and some sort of piebald. I really want to go for a light, floral color scheme.

I would welcome any advice you guys might have when it comes to this, whether that's links to resources, breeding in general, or anything I should know about my specific goals.

In advance, thank you, and have a wonderful day!

My best advise would be start 2 different projects to combined later! Preferably set up a side account to focus on one, and use your main for the other!

For the looks your going for, starting off with a rather plain lion could be very beneficial. Find a king that has some of the traits your going for, and then breed with them until you get offspring your happy with. King the one you like the most, and keep the others female to breed to him. Inbreeding won’t matter, due to the other project! Hint: markings have a higher chance to pass if both parents have the same mark in the same slot!

On the other account, focus on breeding a good, low gen, clean piebald. You can also try getting good stats on the pie, but that’s optional and significantly harder. In my opinion I wouldn’t go over gen 3, as that’s when kings starts getting less desirable.

Once you have a cub with the looks you want, and a pie cub with the gen/stats you want, transfer both to one account. First king the cub with the looks you want, then bypass the cooldown or simply wait until you can king the pie cub. MAKE SURE YOU KEEP THE LOOKS FROM THE FIRST CUB YOU KING!! Then bam, perfect heir! It’ll take lots of time and effort, but should be worth it in the end!
