So! I've noticed something about Vlad, the Blood Beetle Shack shopkeeper that, as far as I've been able to find, no one else seems to have brought up. He's not a vampire bat. He isn't even an insect-eating bat. He's a fruit bat! I know he got a makeover some time ago and, since I wasn't on the site back then, I don't know if his species changed, but as someone who's been really into animals since childhood, it kind if bugs me.

BUT! I have a proposed solution that I think is simple and cute. What if Vlad is collecting all the blood beetles to give to the ultrasound bat he's crushing on or in a relationship with? That one is definitely an insect-eater and I don't think they have any lore around them? Idk, I think it could be a cute little side plot to add between NPCs and make a little more sense of the diet discrepancy.
