Hey, I really need feedback about my mutation breeding plan because I don't want to waste breeding items. I'm so lost when it comes to breeding mutations.

My plan was to feed a CRB to a pie, then give her a GMO and breed her to a ferus.
However Pies seem to roll first, then the items and then the primal.
I've checked the wiki already but I need some feedback.
There was also a symbol † and I have absolutely no clue what it means as there is no explanation.
Anyway would it be a good idea?

The symbol is explained a bit below that section in the FAQ etc:

"Leopon OR Overgrown Fur OR Tigon† ➜ Patches/Piebald† ➜ GMO Cow/Lion Meat ➜ Cotton Root Bark ➜ Fertility/Natural Chance ➜ Lion Scrotum ➜ Primal ➜ Dorsal Fur† ➜ Tigon Boost* ➜ Mukombero ➜ Dorsal Fur Guarantee*

† Note: this is only specifically for lionesses with one of these mutations, as they are heritable. If the lioness is a Leopon, it will roll for her mutation's natural pass chance first, then move on to Patches/Piebald if she was bred with a Patches/Piebald stud, etc. The same goes for Overgrown Fur - it will roll for her mutation's natural pass chance first, then move on to Patches/Piebald if she was bred with a Patches/Piebald stud, etc. Finally, the same goes for Tigons. Patches/Piebald will only roll with their own natural pass chance if either the lioness or the stud has that mutation."

I wouldn't personally recommend using expensive items like GMOs when one or more parents is a piebald or patches, because if their mut is successful in passing it will override any chance of the items working on that cub (or cubs plural, potentially). Unless I specifically wanted/needed to use a piebald parent for other reasons like rare marking slots etc, I would normally pick another lion instead.

But it's really just entirely up to you and your priorities, and whether you think it's worth risking. Pie does have a low-ish chance of passing - sometimes estimated by players around 5%, though staff have never released actual numbers so nobody really knows; that could potentially be a long way from the real pass rate.
