This roleplay takes place in the woods surrounding an early town, the wildcats have come to call this- the Giant's Place. Between the woods and the town lie a large iron gate created out of fear, by its leader.
For years they have been sending five hunters deep into the woods to infiltrate the wildcat's bases and take them out once and for all, but they have yet to succeed.
One night, a vision from Starclan haunts the dreams of all the Leaders, warning them that the Giants are coming up with a plot that could lead to the destruction of their home.

About the Roleplay and Rules
Hello and welcome to Evergreen Gorge! This Roleplay has some elements of Warrior Cats that you may be familiar with, such as how naming goes, the existence of Starclan, and the general hierarchy.
The gameplay here plays almost like a D&D campaign (without the dice rolls), every now and again the Admins will pop in with a section of narration and scene development to help visualize and navigate through the story.
-You may play as many characters as you are able too.
- No oddly colored cats, accents of shades of red/blue/green are fine!
- Please, No Powerplaying.
- We're only going to use Warrior Swears. (Damn is definitely okay.)
- This forum is hate free and LGBTQ+ friendly.
-NSFW is not allowed.
- Be Respectful
The admins dm's are always open for questions and comments!
Territory: High Areas Back of the Forrest, Deep within the Caves; Cave Cats
The Rockclaws territory consists of the caves found deep in the woods south of the river. The camp entrance is behind the great waterfall, only a Rockclaw could make the journey up the dangerous slopes. Upon entering you step onto the smooth, and surprisingly warm, stone flooring of their main gathering hall. From there, you're greeted with a labyrinth of cave tunnels- all leading to a different part of the Rockclaw Camp.
Clan Perks: Enhanced Night Vision, Increased Durability, Rock Climbing Skill
Cat Description: Large cats, Surprisingly neat overgrown fur and claws.
Clan Nature: The Rockclaws mostly keep to themselves inside their home cave, and are rarely seen outside of gatherings or on the occasional patrol. These hardened cats are more open to visitors than any of the other clans. Afterall, even if you somehow made it up to their camp alive, the winding tunnels of their main territory are far too complex for invasions and since they are so private, the exact numbers of the Rockclaw clan are unknown to outsiders.
Clan Relationships: The Rockclaws have an alliance and friendship with the Stream Serpents, they are quite indifferent when it comes to the Land Striders, but the Rockclaws are not very fond of the Barkfurs due to their excessive spying.
Territory: Low Areas Back of the Forrest, both sides of the stream; Water Cats
The Stream Serpents main camp lies across the river, under an old, low hanging cliff side that grows a thick moss and heather, protecting all the cats within.
On the opposite side, across the river- lies their hunting ground. It isn't much territory to hunt in, but the Stream Serpents prefer to hunt for fish anyway.
Clan Perks: Enhanced Swimming Strength and Speed, Advanced Breath Holding, Semi-Water Resistant Fur (Thanks to their Shamans special oil combination)
Cat Description: These cats usually tend to have shorter fur and long tails.
Clan Nature: The Stream Serpents are usually found lounging about and grooming one another near the stream. These cats love sharing stories about their ancestors to the young kits of their clan, but to other clan cats they're often seen as talkative and many (mostly their leader, Crystalstar) tend to speak over others and speak a bit too freely.
Clan Relationships: The Stream Serpents have an alliance and a friendship with the Rockclaws, as well as the Land Striders. Unfortunately, not many cats of the Stream like the Barkfurs due to their constant heckling.
Territory: Roughly in the middle of the forest, within the hallows, Tree Cats
The Barkfur Camp is pretty scattered all over the treetops- but the main hub of it all would be the leaders den, which is an old abandoned owl hallow filled with a nest of shed fur, soft grass, and reeds.
Clan Perks: Cold Resistance (After a few moons), Advanced Climbing Skill, Bird Call- Over the generations, The Barkfurs have learned the basics of the language of birds. This knowledge is sacred to the Barkfurs, and they forbid any sharing of it outside the clan.
Cat Description: Generally smaller than the other clan cats, usually seen with long thick fur, impressive whiskers, and sharp claws for climbing.
Clan Nature: The Leader boasts often about how close the Barkfurs are to star clan, saying that sleeping high in the trees makes a closer connection to the ancestors. Other than that- the Barkfurs are usually seen as small and timid to the other clans.
A few cold seasons ago the Barkfurs plummeted in numbers under the rule of the previous leader, who lost his life in that bitter cold as well. Ever since then, Mindfulstar has been obsessed with persevering the clan's longevity. Inviting new members and strengthening the Barkfurs numbers once more- by any means necessary.
Clan Relationships: The Barkfurs have a not so mutual fascination with the Landstriders, they often watch them from the tree tops as they zoom around the woods hunting and gathering, then afterwards they seem to disappear into the tall grass. The Barkfurs see the Stream Serpents as distrustful fish cats, the leader of the Barkfurs especially since so many of their kits have died falling into their stream and the Stream Serpents refuse to share any knowledge of swimming to them. The Barkfurs also do not trust the Rockclaws, saying that they are too private of a clan and cannot be trusted. They often send scouts to spy near the cliffs of the caves, hopefully to get some intel on the strange cave cats.
Territory: 'front' of the Forest, Closest to the Giant's Gate; Land Cats
The exact location of the Land Strider's camp is unknown to all cats except for the clan members themselves. The only thing that the other clans know for certain, is that the camp lies somewhere beyond the large thorny hedge that grows through their territory. The Land Strider camp does lie beyond the wall of thorns- finding the way past it is quite a challenge for those who are not familiar with it's roots, but once you make your way to the other side the real challenge for outsiders is finding the camp itself.
Cat Description: Generally Large Cats (not larger than Rockclaw), more Wild looking Cats, usually adorned with many patterns, and commonly have yellow and/or green eyes.
Clan Nature: These cats tend to be more free-spirited. Scout training in this clan is shorter than usual, only lasting a few weeks since the Land Striders are firm believers of on the job training and weeding out the weak.
Clan Relationships: The Land Striders admire the Rockclaws's deep, complex cave system, and they have an acquaintanceship with them- which Deerstar hopes one day he can turn into an alliance. The Land Striders are the closest to the Stream Serpents- Many years ago, when the current leaders were still kits, the Great Hedge that protects them grew all alongside the west side of the river, cutting off access for the Stream Serpents. On that day, the clan of the Land Striders traveled into the Stream Serpents territory and created an underpass so they can reach the river.
The roleplay is open for character sheets! Please go ahead and post them under the Character Sheets thread, we will begin when we get about two cats per clan.
