This is an idea that I've been thinking about for a while! In the Sims, a legacy challenge is a popular self-imposed challenge where you run your family for several generations and follow specific rules. There are tons of variations and sometimes the specific goals and challenges change for different generations. I think this would be perfect for Lioden!

Each generation would have its own set of rules to follow, and a specific set of goals to achieve before reaching the next generation and kinging the next heir. Here are some ideas I have:

Generation 1: The Ugly Duckling

Your "founder" has been thrust into a world of gorgeous lions with magnificent manes and markings. How is he going to stand out? Help your king grow from a pitiful potato into a glamorous Cassanova!

Rules:
  • Start with a rolled lion, or a young male with a common base/eyes, and very few markings

  • You cannot claim or purchase lionesses until you have Impressive impression level and at least 5 markings.

  • You cannot breed to a lioness until you have Dreamboat impression level and at least 8 markings.

  • Extensive decor usage is encouraged!

Goals:
  • Mate with [number] lionesses.

  • Have a rare or special base with 10 markings.

  • Father [number] cubs.

  • Have a "special" (mutated, colorbomb, or otherwise) cub to act as your heir.

Generation 2: If Looks Could Kill

Your founder has understood one of the most important facts of life: if you're pretty, you'll go far. He's chosen his most beautiful cub to be his heir, so he can use his good looks to do his bidding.

Unfortunately, Generation 2's king is not used to having to work to get what he wants. He's perfectly content to relax in his den, surrounded by adoring ladies. He's rather ignorant of the dangers of being king...

Rules:
  • Your king refuses to explore unless his hunger is at 0%.

  • You must attempt to claim and breed all Explore NCL's! If the first breeding is not successful, you can send her away or try again.

  • You cannot attack other players (might chip a nail).

  • You cannot battle with lion NPCs, big cats, large herbivores, or humans (might scratch that pretty coat!).

Goals:
  • Breed a male cub with the Evil personality.

  • When your evil cub reaches 1 year of age, retire your king immediately (patricide!) and king the evil lion.

Generation 3: The Tyrant

Unlike his dim-witted father, Generation 3's king is cunning, insidious, and will stop at nothing to get what he wants. Every day is a new opportunity to remind his pride that HE is king, HE is overlord, HE is their god. His lionesses had better behave in a way that suits his whims.

Rules:
  • You must always "punish" lionesses after hunting when the option is available.

  • Any lioness who fails 3 hunts must be killed.

  • Any lioness who has not hunted or been bred to in a year must be killed.

  • All male cubs must be killed.

  • All female cubs must share at least one of the following with you: base color, base shade, base gradient, mane color, mane shape, eyes, skin, a marking. If any cub is different from you in every single one of those categories, she and her mother are immediately killed.

  • Equipping scars to your lionesses is encouraged!.

Goals:
  • Reach "Deathlord of the Jungle" karma level.

  • unsure of what other goals to add

Generation 4: Rosalind

My idea for gen 4 is to have one of the previous king's daughters disguise herself as a male (via adult sex changer) and become "king". Only once she had gained trust and respect from the pride could she reveal her true identity as a lioness (via lab test frog). Maybe she would only adopt cubs, or only breed to sex-changed amab lions? Not sure.

I would love to hear your thoughts on this idea, and how I can improve it! I might try this out if I ever get around to making a side account. If you have any ideas, I'm happy to add them up here.
