I love all my beetles and they are all beautiful in their own ways. That said, my albino babies look fleshy. Something about the specific color scheme being used for albino bugs is giving a serious "uncooked animal fat" vibe.

I did take it upon myself to look up albinism in bugs, and in learning that it only occurs in a few species and incredibly rarely, I also discovered albino bugs irl seem to have a slightly warmer/ more neutral undertone.

I do understand why the current pink undertone was chosen, as if it were applied to a mammal I would instantly register it as albinism. I just think maybe adjusting it slightly on the bugs would provide a less fleshy appearance.

Specifically, I think the color variants of the albino Locusta mi-gratoria would be absolutely perfect. There is still a slight pinkness, but the colors are a bit earthier and the base a less stark white.

Thank you for the opportunity to collect fantasy bugs I am truly living my best autistic life.
