Dapple Gray will be a Black Dark Countershaded Special Base that could be a craftable base created from 30 Locust Wings and a Black Stallion. (Craftable only in September.

This base can be a September/Wet Season exclusive combo base able to be obtained through breeding:

Blue Roan x Locust
Hoarfrost x Locust
Ice x Locust
Glacial x Locust
Arctic x Locust
Aufeis x Locust



Process of my thoughts:

My main inspiration for these bases was my absolute love for horses and their unique and hard to comprehend coats. Gray coats are some of my favorite coats in multiple games and works very well with painted markings.

My very first attempt at this base had a lot of positive votes. But sadly this is the only saved image from that past base idea so I wanted to revamp it after years of letting the idea go to waste.


Blue Roan:
Blue Roan is a very pretty horse coat that can vary in shades. Sometimes their darker with less blue hint. Sometimes their lighter with alot of blue variation. This base would look much better with more of a blue tinting.

Dapple Gray:
The dapples appear much larger on real horses but I absolutely love how the blending came out in the first attempt!! If this gets added to the game I'd love for the dapples to closely resemble the ones in the locust base.
