There are too many lions in game for almost anything to hold value. If there was some way to “sell” our lions directly back into the game, instead of going to desperately lower and lower prices hoping to get something, anything for them, I believe it would help the overall heath of the economy. It’s also about 300% more sane than the most prominent suggestion I’ve heard floating around of a purge/cleanse of lions against people wills.

In this scenario, you would have a function to sell lions for a given price (likely sb based, in order to keep gb scarcity dependent on IRL money sales in order to fund the game). These prices would be dependent on different factors, though probably primarily mutation/base rarity (common/uncommon/rare/special) as well as possibly number of marks. I think it’s especially important to have a way to get rid of mutations for a reasonable amount of money, since chasing is not an option in game without losing the only value in it.

People are desperate to get something for their lions, and the constant undercutting of prices is making it harder and harder to sell anything at all.

This option would likely cause a rise in gb value, due to the increase in sb present in the market, but would also likely increase the health and stability of the lion economy overall.
It would be a consensual and reasonable way to improve the overall game experience for a lot of people and help to enable scarcity in a game with nearly 4 million lionesses.

I usually just end up Nature Preserving and have begun taking to flat out neglecting lions so they'd be deleted since nothing seems to hold any value any more.

I'm not sure about the suggestion's actual content since it's 3 am and I'm typing this right before bed, but I'm supporting for the spirit. We definitely need more incentives to get rid of lions!

Support, this is the first reasonable "lion removal" I've found.
I'd be very interested to see how it scaled - 500sb for special bases, 300sb for rare, 150sb for uncommon, 75sb for common?
Then 10-25sb per marking? These could be even set by tier.
It would give all lions a "base value". Yeah I like this.

Fraekinn - Given how they give out SB on other parts of the site (explore giving 2-10 SB on most SB encounters, battles giving under 20 SB at most levels, quests giving about the same) I don't think common bases would start off at 75 SB ^^ I'd guess that if this were implemented, the highest they'd go would be 10 SB, maybe 20 SB due to how many exist in game and how easy it is to get them. Mass breeders could breed 100 lions, get 200 common based cubs, and then cash those in for 15000 SB.

That said, I don't mind the idea of having SB be more accessible to that extent! But I think it would need to be balanced across the site rather than be tied mainly to foddering lions, so that people with massive prides don't have a huge advantage :D

Like dude, we have 787,894 mutated lions alone. I do agree with Bandit Gambit, giving too much for a lion would need to be balanced! But like, the amount of lions this game contains (especially with mass breeders, no hate, I'm one my self a little) there are many lions in game that kinda serve no purpose, I guess, so huge support from me!

@Bandit Gambit - Personally I think SB needs to be increased site-wide, especially with more and more things relying on it - January, the new-year decors, ultrasounds, falcon, etc. We've all seen how badly it messes with SB:GB sales with everyone fighting for SB - GB right now is in the 700s when it used to be routinely 1200!

I just also didn't feel a suggestion about foddering lions was the place to discuss increasing SB overall when there are already suggestions about it.

More SB would raise the prices of everything overall, they could also just tinker with the cub birth rates if it really was becoming an issue.

Fraekinn - I don't disagree about that :) Those hypothetical numbers just seem a bit bloated compared to the rest of the site currently, and I wouldn't want it implemented that high if everything else wasn't adjusted as well. I didn't intend to sound like I hate that idea, haha!

I fully support this however I think a common base should give a starting price of like 10-20sb, uncommon around like 20-25sb, rare like 50-75sb and special like 100-200sb

Then adding on money for markings (excl tier 0 markings) but with an increase for rare markings. so like:
tier 0= 0sb
tier 1= 5b
tier 2 = 20sb
tier 3 = 10sb
tier 4 = 50sb
tier 5 = 100sb
tier 6 = 100sb
This is just a rough thing obviously but I think it would be important to toggle the price for harder to get markings so that there isn't just a base rate which would be too much for easily bred/ applied markings and too little for harder to get markings.

I also think that mutations should be determined by the difficulty to breed/ apply (excl. lethals and hybrids because i doubt anyone would sell their hybrid/lethal)
I also think there should be a decrease in the amount a blind/ deaf/ disadvantaged lion as it could die early on/ during pregnancy or cant hunt ect.

I also think the age of the lion needs to be taken into consideration: (to give incentive to raise a lion but also to stop people from selling a lioness with no more heats/ old from selling for the same as a lioness with all their heats available)
Cub= 10sb
adol= 10sb
6-7 heats= 30sb
4-5 heats= 25sb
2-3 heats= 15sb
0-1 heats= 10 sb

But obviously this would a ridiculous amount of coding so I doubt it will be placed into effect but I think it would be absolutely amazing if was placed into effect. Because the lion market is at the point where its not worth it so sell them so end up killing/ nature reserving/ chasing them.

I disagree the coding would be difficult, other games have done it including a game I play thats VERY much in beta/less than 20 daily users 🤣😅 in fact it has multiple "ditch for money" options.

I think that's a good start, but I would probably group markings together differently since Tier 2 and Tier 4 are BO and tier 5 & 6 are applicator only/RMA exclusive respectively!
