Combo Piebald

Context on MoD Apps
What Combo Piebald Can Do

The price of MoDs has decreased drastically over the last few years. Some of the older MoDs are unable to be obtained unless 100 GB is bought on Black Friday. However, observation has shown that even these older, “rarer” MoDs seem to be decreasing in price (especially Patches), with some even going for as low as 50 GB. With real money being spent, it. Is especially important that people get their money’s worth when supporting the game, and as it stands now the applicators are not holding their value.

With the implementation of a Piebald x Piebald (or Patches x Patches) Combo mutation, we may see a successful rise in the value of Black Friday items. I expect this will also inspire a better market for Mutie on Demand Applicators. This could also potentially give newer players a chance to have a really nice, valuable mutation, considering the release of Ticked MoDs. This could potentially bring a lot of life into Piebald / Patches Breeding and in the future, increase the sales of Mods during Black Friday (and after).

The Suggestion
Implementation of Breed-Only Piebald x Piebald or Patches x Patches variations added. They would function like Combo Bases. (i.e., Harlequin x Daedal Piebald has a small chance to pass a rare Combo Piebald, on top of the chance to pass either Harlequin Piebald or Daedal Piebald.
For right now, and for ease of coders, I am only suggesting Piebald x Piebald (Patches x Patches) and not Piebald x Pathches combo mutations. This could also potentially be aided with the use of an item, like Pennyroyal for Primals.

Open to kind suggestions, mockups and thoughts! Thanks =)

What would be nice is if ALL pies could do this - it would bring some value to things like ticked studs or lower cost mods, which is especiallly useful for newbies for example.

This would be nice in theory but would be utterly infuriating to breed for, as regular combos are already a pain in the ass. Sorry but no support from me.

I love the idea, but like the person above said it would be hell to attempt to breed for unless the pass rates were adjusted. Like if the chance of the combo was equal to the chance of a regular pie. For example a Murky x Torn breeding would have an equal chance of producing a Murky, Torn, or combo.
Doing it this way would also help to even out the prices. It would raise the value for the MoDs we currently have without making the combos too expensive for anyone to actually afford

100%. I think the decision to change Black Friday to double the number of mods destroyed the MOD market, and that will only limit the appeal of the Black Friday event going forwards (limiting Lioden's income which affects us all).

Brilliant suggestion. This would also increase the appeal of Piebald lionesses which really aren't in that much demand. I'd go one step further and say that perhaps this could be implemented instead of new applicator MODs next year?

Some combo suggestions:
- Ends: Frontal x Croupe, blotchy patches restricted to the rear and front of the body, leaving the torso untouched
- Cirrus: Dappled x Echo, basically long, curved cirrus cloud patches along the flanks and shoulders that gets blotchier towards the back
- Layered: Fringe x Shadow, streaky patches on the back, face, belly, and legs, leaving the middle of the body clear
- Blaze: Rift x Uneven, streaky asymmetrical patches that cover most of the body and resemble smoke/flames
- Frosted: Ticked x Mottled: speckly white patches with a vaguely crystalline pattern, mostly gathered at the extremities of the body
- Dust: Heavy x Clouded: mostly white except for small spots on the back that expose the normal color of the lion
- Ermine: Heavy x Ticked: mostly white except for an exposed tail tip and neat rows of small streaks over the shoulders and flanks
- Fracture: Wrapped x Cracked: large, closely set patches with straight, sharp edges like broken glass over the flanks
- Storm: Nebulous x Wicked: mostly black except for asymmetrical, streaky exposed patches on the flanks that resemble clouds

i love this idea! i came up with a pie idea for february, and i had also suggested it be a "combo piebald" lol. I think it would add a little bit of spice back into the pie market
