They are near worthless and largely undesired as the MoD is the most common of all of the Piebald/Patch MoDs by far. Most Piebald and Patches are only obtainable by paying real money or buying them secondhand, whereas Ticked was distributed for free for the 10th anniversary of Lioden.

There may be some other factors that I am unaware of, but the reason mentioned above is a huge contributing factor.

I don't hear many opinions regarding how it looks, but rarity is the main reason for the widespread dislike, yes!

It's definitely a cute pattern visually (or at least I think it is), but the dislike is indeed due to how common and cheap it is in comparison to every other pie/patches shape. The MoD sells for 10gb at its highest. I think a good comparison would be May's marking apps being so cheap and easy to obtain compared to similar apps from other events- sometimes I feel like those in particular almost have a negative value associated with them lol
