Have a hybrid? Don't know what items to breed them with? Wonder no longer! Here's a simple, comprehensive guide

1. What items do I use?

Most people use a Buffalo Scrotum (commonly reffered to as Buffy) for hybrid breeding. This item increases the amount of cubs your lioness will have, guaranteeing 3 or 4 cubs. First gen hybrid pass rate is 10%, so each cub from a first gen mother has a 10% chance of being a hybrid. Secondary gen hybrids have a 5% pass rate, so each cub from a secondary gen hybrid has a 5% chance of being a hybrid. Basically, the more cubs, the higher chance of a hybrid! An alternative to a Buffalo Scrotum is a Grain of Paradise (commonly reffered to as GoP). This item garuntees 2 or more cubs in a litter.

If you want your hybrid to have ALL possible heats, use a Zebra Heart on their first heat. This item costs 2 in the Oasis. If you use it before your hybrid's first heat, it will force them into their first heat. Doing this, paired with using an Instant Cub Delivery (commonly reffered to as IBF, or Instant Birth Feather. Costs 2 in the Oasis) garuntees your hybrid will have a whole extra heat! This works by saving your lioness a few days of life (time it takes to naturally goes into first heat) and 3-1 days everytime she gets pregnant (time it takes for cubs to naturally be born)

2. Is there any items I should avoid?

You should avoid using a Cotton Root Bark (commonly reffered to as CRB) on a hybrid. The reason for this is because hybrids already have a natural chance of passing their mutation. This item aborts a litter, meaning you could accidentally abort a hybrid cub. This also takes away days of your hybrid's life, which can add up to another natural heat.

You should avoid Lion Scrotums, as these do not work on hybrids and will NOT increase your chance of the mutation passing.

3. Cosmetic passing items

All cosmetic items (like a Crunchy Worm) work normally on hybrids. They're good to use on a hybrid with a rare marking (like a Rosette, or Mottled Stripes) because those markings increase a hybrid's worth. For example, if you have a Tigon born with a Rosette, it'll be worth more than a Tigon born without one.

4. Studs for a Hybrid?

Breeding to a hybrid king will not increase your chance of having a hybrid cub born. Male hybrids cannot pass their mutation.

Other than that, it doesn't matter what kind of king you breed a hybrid to! Breeding to a mutated stud won't affect anything, since hybrids roll first in the mutation pool. It's all up to your preferences.
