The project is doing 𝟑 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐬 of 𝟐𝟑𝟓 𝐜𝐫𝐛 𝐥𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡, so one batch per week! 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐭𝐬 𝟕𝟎𝟓 𝐥𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐬.

On average if all lions had 2 cubs there would be 470cubs for 235lionesses, so if I had that many cubs to check, I would need 𝟐𝟖,𝟐𝟎𝟎 x 3= 𝟖𝟒,𝟔𝟎𝟎sb to check cubs, I’m sure there would be a lot of mutations alone though so let’s hope we would only need about 𝟔𝟎,𝟎𝟎𝟎𝐬𝐛 :)
