Allow Energy & Impression overfill

In my mind, this would work similarly to how the experience bar does, and would solve all common complaints I've seen regarding Energy and Impression ( Gorilla Rewards, Explore 15% Boost, Accidentally leveling your king without using up your Energy first, accidental use of Energy Boosts, etc. )

Various Examples

🌿 If you're at 50% Imp/Energy and the Gorilla Quest gives you 100% Imp/Energy, you'll have a temporary (until used) overfill amount of 150%.
🌿 If you're at 100% Energy and accidentally level your king, or forget to use it before you do level, you'll have a temporary overfill amount of 200%.
🌿 If you're at 98% Energy and you get an Explore encounter that gives you +15% Energy, you'll have a temporary overfill amount of 113%. ( Stackable, so if you gain the 15% twice in quick succession, both of those instances add to the overfill )

This would work for all non-timed Energy (+Imp) Gains across site, while Energy gained over time ( the 10% rest regain every 15min) would still cap at 100% - so, people would need to use any overfill up before they can continue to benefit from the timed regain!

Yes! I accidentally used dove feasts on my side and I had full imp so I was so mad at myself, partially my fault but this would make it much easier!

The only reason impression overfill might not work is because of the different gain values at high/low levels.

HOWEVER this would, in theory, be easy enough to resolve by adding a point value instead of a percent value, making it similar to Experience gains with the max "level" never increasing in point value.

Had a busy last couple weeks so didn't respond to this before now, but I'm a bit confused by what you mean! Experience is what adjusts to level and increases in point value, while impression is ever only 100, no matter what level you are. And things that award Impression only do so at a set point value. If it says you gain 1% Impression in explore, that's 1% of the overall 100, which never changes no matter your level The % is just how it's worded. 1% = 1 Impression gained.

Do you mean how at higher Impression levels, claiming NCLs gives less and less impression? If so, I can't see how that would be a problem with the suggestion!

Please correct me if I read things wrong! Just attempting to understand your view on it

When you're at a lower impression level, things that give you impression that are NOT from an event give you greater amounts.
When I king a new lion, they get 5-6% impression from, say, claiming a lioness. At roughly Impressive, this becomes 3-4%, and ends at 1-3% at Extremely Impressive/Dreamboat.

In order to have Impression overfill, these percentages would HAVE to be adjusted to be similar to Experience totals, because it wouldn't exactly be balanced to have an entire NCL's worth of impression stored when you increase your level.

Oooh, I think I understand what you mean now -- Basically when starting out, people could manipulate it by not increasing their Impression level until they've racked up several hundred points of Impression with the 5-6% starting increase, making it exploitable, yeah?

I didn't think about that! A very good point... I agree, it would need to be similar to how Experience works, or maybe the Impression overfill for NCL claims only increases by 1-3% if your current Impression is over 100%, making it more beneficial to go ahead and increase it before continuing to claim if you're below Dreamboat. I'm not sure which would be easier to implement, but I think either could work to address it!
