My biggest concerns at the moment are the markings. Because they're all rather rare marking slots, I want to get a hold of them as soon as possible. There are some kings with one of the markings but I don't want them to be retired and then I lose access to the marking.

For the past couple of days, I have attempted to get a hold of most of the markings I need for this project. Since they're all rare, they're a bit of a pain to receive. Luckily, I've been able to get most of the markings I need. Present in my den currently are Slot 1: Goridhe Siamese, Slot 5: Red Indri, Slot 6: Scoria Rogue, Slot 7: Spice Pelage, Slot 8: Shell Inverted Zebra (present on my king), and Slot 9: Chert Margay. I have access to Slot 2: Feline 8 Ginger as well as I managed to get a Reverse Breeding done and two of the three cubs also have that marking alongside the Slot 8: Shell Inverted Zebra. She was given some Buffy Balls and an Ochre Powder to pass. Slot 5: Red Indri also currently has a stud and I bred him to my Slot 1: Goridhe Siamese girl but only ended up passing the Slot 5: Red Indri which is fine with me! A GOP and Ochre Powder were used.

Missing in my den are Slot 3: Spice Brindle, Slot 4: Latte Shine, and Slot 10: Cream Underfelt. I PMed a user that owns the lions with Spice Brindle and they told me their side account was frozen but whenever they unfroze it, they would send the cub over to me. So I have access to that marking. For Slot 10: Cream Underfelt, I have come to an agreement with a player whose lion has the marking to get a Heat for 800 . Will probably go ahead and use an Ochre Powder and a GOP or Buffy Balls to not only help that user with their project as well, but to hopefully pass on Cream Underfelt.

As for Slot 4: Latte Shine, the user hasn't rolled in five days so there might be a chance that they'll go inactive. If there's anytime to come back to the game, it would be now at the end of the month so let's hope they log on. Otherwise, I'll have to replace Latte Shine with Dark Brown Burmese, another rare marking that'll look nice on the design. I'd still prefer Latte Shine as Lioden needs more Latte markings spread in general.

I have also spoken to a Lioden player known as worm [main] [g1 13.12.24 rlc] (#499040) who has given me some advice on how to take on the project. After all, I have no experience in the 15/15 breed-only projects so I need all the tips I can get! If they want their user removed from the thread, I can gladly do so. :)

They advised me to try to get the breed-only attributes first, those being the Welsummer skin, Dusk eyes, Pariah mane, and Taupe Mane color on one lion. Since there is no existing king, nor no existing lion with all those traits together in one, I'll have to breed it myself. They told me there were some available lions with both Dusk eyes and Pariah mane type in the Trading Center that I could purchase and breed to a stud with a Welsummer skin and Taupe mane color.

However, I managed to get a lioness with three of those attributes I needed here, all for free thanks to Cere | G1 12BO Nomad (#380783). She has the Welsummer skin, Dusk eyes, and Pariah mane type. Lacking the Taupe mane color I need. I decided to breed her to a stud with the Taupe mane color I needed and that stud was Ruffy Tuffy. I gave her an Opal Saltlick and a Rock Salt and hoped for the best. She ended up expecting three cubs! I gave her an Instant Cub Delivery item and she had three cubs. Two of them had the four attributes I needed and one of them was a dud that I killed.



They told me to king the lion with the 4/4 attributes I needed and then breed them to girls with the markings I need to try to get all 4/4 attributes together alongside one or two of the markings I need. Then keep going until I have all the markings alongside the 4/4 of the attributes I need, leaving me with a 14/15 king who would only need the base to bring the project to a completion.

These two sisters mark the start of the project and I am very happy to have them in my den! They also mark the begining of the Welsummer/Dusk/Pariah/Taupe combination and they've originated here. I don't know which sister I'm going to make the king, probably the more potato one as the other one has a Goldenrod base alongside two breed-only markings. Breeding her would be a good idea but for now, we shall see! The mother will be a permanent member of my pride as well as she's got a good amount of breed-only traits.

Earlier today, the more potato cub was crowned. An official goodbye to Benvolio, the king who helped me recreate the extinct 01.05.18 Raffle Lioness. This marks a new milestone into PROJECT ALICANTO. I decided to name this project's king "Aurelius", meaning "golden, gilded". A reference to the Alicanto myth where the bird consumes gold and silver, making it's wings glitter that same color as well.

Unfortunately, I made a mistake while breeding Aurelius I. I forgot to give him an Opal Saltlick and Rock Salt. When I bred Aurelius to one of the two lions in my pride with both Slot 2: Feline 8 Ginger and Slot 8: Shell Inverted Zebra, it resutled in a cub with both markings alongside the Pariah and Taupe Mane that I needed. However, due to the lack of items, it didn't get the Welsummer Skin or Dusk Eyes. Very disappointing as if I hadn't forgotten, the cub would've ended up with six of the fifteen traits I needed. A Grain of Paradise was used and the other cub was a dud. I bred the other sister with Slot 2: Feline 8 Ginger and Slot 8: Shell Inverted Zebra and it ended up with a less impressive but still notable cub who rocked the Welsummer Skin, Dusk Eyes, Pariah and Taupe Mane and Slot 8: Shell Inverted Zebra. The other cub had everything and Slot 2: Feline 8 Ginger but lacked the Pariah Mane. So, the first cub was kinged.

Enter the new king, Aurelius II. He has five out of the fifteen traits we need. Aurelius II has the Welsummer Skin, Dusk Eyes, Pariah Mane Type, Taupe Mane Color, and Slot 8: Shell Inverted Zebra.

This morning, I have also come to the realization that Slot 3: Spice Brindle, the marking that I was hoping to use for my project, will no longer be considered to be too rare by next week. The new Raffle Stud, Gicicio, has the marking and once the next week starts, the marking will have been spread and saturated. Despite what I want, I may try to change the marking to something else. We will see.

After playing around in the Wardrobe, I've decided to change the Slot 3: Spice Brindle marking to Slot 3: Ripe Dim. Practically looks the same as Spice Brindle on the design itself. Not sure if it'll be considered a rare marking once I start working on this project but it's what I've decided on in the mean time.

Might also have to change out Slot 4: Latte Shine for something else if the only player with access to that marking doesn't log on soon.

Purchased a lady with the Slot 3: Ripe Dim marking for 3 and she also has a Mushroom Mane Color. Which doesn't look bad on the design at all so I may or may not decide to keep it in the line. I wouldn't necessarily mind either and they're both breed-only. So I guess it's survival of the fittest, whatever gene decides to live on! I used a Grain of Paradise, Rock Salt, and Opal Saltlick on my king and used an Ochre Powder on her. Two cubs were expected and she passed on her marking to both of her cubs. One of them has five out of the fifteen traits we need but unfortunately didn't get the Pariah Mane Type. He has Welsummer Skin, Dusk Eyes, Taupe Mane Color, Slot 3: Ripe Dim and Slot 8: Shell Inverted Zebra. The other cub has four out of the fifteen traits we need but lacks Mane Color and markings, only getting Slot 3: Ripe Dim.

Will likely not crown the male cub as he's missing the Pariah Mane Type and don't think it would be a good idea to do so. Going to keep breeding these past couple of days and age up some of the cubs with the other markings I need. Such as the Slot 6: Scoria Rogue Primal lady that I got. She also has a Pariah Mane Type so I think things could go pretty good! Will also probably age up the other 5/15 or 4/15 cubs I have.

Bred Aurelius II to my Scoria Rogue lady with no success, all the attributes passed and Shell Inverted Zebra but no Scoria Rogue. Used Salts, GOP, and Ochre Powder. Next, I bred my 5/15 lady with Slot 3: Ripe Dim who lacked the Pariah Mane Type and that's when I successfully bred the next heir to the project. I used both Salts for Skin and Eyes, a GOP, and Ochre Powder. Two cubs, I decided to king the male so I wouldn't have to spend more on a Cub Sex Changer. Aurelius III who has the Welsummer Skin, Dusk Eyes, Pariah Mane Type, Taupe Mane Color, Slot 3: Ripe Dim, and Slot 8: Shell Inverted Zebra. I kinged him for 25 and continued on.

I bred Aurelius III to my two ladies with Slot 2: Feline 8 Ginger that I received from the Reverse Breeding and bred the lady with 5/15 first. Used Buffy Balls and she gave me four cubs, three of which were 6/15 and one which was 5/15. All of them got all the markings I needed but they all lacked Mane Type. That's when I bred the other sister with Buffy Balls too. She gave me three cubs. One was a complete dud that I got rid of, the other one was 6/15 but didn't have Slot 2: Feline 8 Ginger and the other one was a success! That cub was 7/15 with the Welsummer Skin, Dusk Eyes, Pariah Mane Type, Taupe Mane Color, Slot 2: Feline 8 Ginger, Slot 3: Ripe Dim, and Slot 8: Shell Inverted Zebra. Sex changed her into a him, deemed him Aurelius IV and kinged him for 25 .

Will start aging up the other cub in my den with Slot 6: Scoria Rogue who is 3/15 for breeding tomorrow. Will likely use my other Buffy and Powder both her and Aurelius IV for the best likelihood. Likely all traits won't pass on but we'll hope for the best! Will also age up the Slot 5: Red Indri cub in my den and will try to purchase another Slot 1: Goridhe Siamese for breeding. So far, so good!

Was playing in the wardrobe again and came across two of the new Groupie markings that could replace Slot 4: Latte Shine. Also with the new Latte markings that can be RMA'd, I've got some options. Sunspot Undercover and Sahara Undershine could be good replacements for them. Leaning more towards Sunspot Undercover and will try to offer on the two lions on the site that currently have that marking on that slot.

Still interested in getting the Slot 4: Sunspot Undercover marking however unfortunately, I don't think I'll be able to get my hands on it. Will still keep an eye out for replacements and see what I can do about all of it.

Today I bred one of my Slot 6: Scoria Rogue ladies with Aurelius IV and ended up with three cubs. No breeding items were used other than Salts for Eyes and Skin. Nothing notable, the marking passed onto a cub that had 6/15 traits so she is going to be good for breeding in the future. She lacks Slot 8: Shell Inverted Zebra and Mane Color but I'm sure it can be passed on soon enough.

Bred my Slot 5: Red Indri lion next and used Buffy Balls and a Powder on Aurelius. Two unnotable cubs but another 6/15 was born. Almost has all the markings but lacks Slot 3: Ripe Dim and the Pariah Mane Type. Will be good to breed as well.

Going to try and breed my other Slot 6: Scoria Rogue girl and will powder Aurelius again in hopes of better luck. We'll see!

After getting the funds, I went through with it. Bred the Slot 6: Scoria Rogue cub mentioned before. Used an Ochre Powder, Salts, and GOP on Aurelius IV. There were three cubs in total, none inherited any of the mane and instead took mom's Katanga/Elysian. One was a dud with only 3/15 so it was killed. The other two are 5/15 and only one inherited the Slot 6: Scoria Rogue. We'll see on whether or not I age them up to breed.

Next up is the new Slot 1: Goridhe Siamese lion that I got. May or may not breed them today. Don't have any resources available for me or my sanity.

Been doing some more breeding lately and haven't really gotten anything too notable. Bought another Slot 4: Sunspot Undercover lady in hopes of breeding her and passing the marking a lot more but she didn't end up passing it. Luckily, the other Slot 1: Goridhe Siamese lion had a cub with the marking and Slot 8: Shell Inverted Zebra.

Today my only Slot 9: Chert Margay lady went into heat and I used up all my resources on her. Ochre Powder on her, Ochre Powder on Aurelius IV, Buffalo Scrotum, and the Salts. I got another 7/15 lion who got everything but didn't get Aurelius' Slot 3: Ripe Dim marking but did get the Slot 9: Chert Margay marking. Because the Ripe Dim marking is on over 10 of my project lions, I'm thinking of retiring Aurelius IV and replacing him with this new cub. Will think about it for a few before jumping to conclusions. At the end of the day, just happy Chert Margay passed.

Also in the process of hopefully buying another Slot 4: Sunspot Undercover girl. However, someone else is interested in her and it's kind of bidding to see who has the higher offer for now. We shall see!

Made the cub my new king sooo officially meet Aurelius V! Will breed him to more of the Slot 3: Ripe Dim cubs that I've gotten and will be aging them up.

Forgot I had another Slot 4: Sunspot Undercover girl so I fed her an Ochre Powder alongside Aurelius V and fed him a GOP and the Salts. The marking passed luckily! Alongside Slot 8: Shell Inverted Zebra and Slot 9: Chert Margay. Missing the Mane Type though. Also will likely start doing a purge because my cave currently has 50 lions and it's too much for me to keep up with.

Also the active stud with Slot 7: Spice Pelage has been offline since the last of April so may have to king the backup on my account and breed him to pass the marking on. That's not what I would like to do but oh well, whatever gets the marking to pass. Alongside that marking, my main focus will be on spreading Slot 1: Goridhe Siamese, Slot 4: Sunspot Undercover, Slot 5: Red Indri, and Slot 10: Cream Underfelt especially as I haven't been able to get my hands on it yet.

Got my hands on my own Slot 10: Cream Underfelt. Tried breeding her but ultimately ended up messing up as I forgot to take Aurelius V's Slot 10 marking off. Bred her with Salts, GOP, and Ochre Powder on both parents. Both cubs got his Slot 10: Under White 2 and not the mom's Slot 10: Cream Underfelt and all other users that have a lion with the marking are inactive but one. Seriously messed up there but at least I have a lion in my den with the marking.

The five ladies that I aged up yesterday grew today. Bred the Slot 6: Scoria Rogue lady with no items but Salts and had her marking pass on a 6/15 cub. Next bred my Slot 5: Red Indri girl with no items but Salts which proved to be a mistake as she only had one cub and that cub didn't even pass her marking. Next I bred my Slot 3: Ripe Dim lady with an Opal Saltlick but no Rock Salt because I forgot and she had two cubs. One cub was notable, having all the attributes I needed but the Welsummer Skin, Slot 2: Feline 8 Ginger, Slot 3: Ripe Dim, Slot 8: Shell Inverted Zebra, and Slot 9: Chert Margay. I kinged the cub and named him Aurelius VI. Wasn't worried about the Welsummer Skin not having passed as I have distributed the 5/5 attributes nicely amongst the pride.

With Aurelius VI having been kinged, I bred him to my Slot 4: Sunspot Undercover girl and gave her Salts and an Ochre Powder in hopes of her passing her marking. Alongside giving Aurelius VIGOP. She had two cubs and finally, we are advancing now. One of her cubs was 9/15. The cub had a Welsummer Skin, Dusk Eyes, Pariah Mane Type, Taupe Mane Color, Slot 2: Feline 8 Ginger, Slot 3: Ripe Dim, Slot 4: Sunspot Undercover, Slot 8: Shell Inverted Zebra, and Slot 9: Chert Margay. An utter success for us! Meaning now we just have to pass on the Slot 1: Goridhe Siamese marking, Slot 5: Red Indri marking, Slot 6: Scoria Rogue marking, Slot 7: Spice Pelage marking, and finally the Slot 10: Cream Underfelt marking. At the very least, I hope to be able to get a female Slot 7: Spice Pelage lioness in my den without having to crown the Slot 7: Spice Pelage male back up. Would waste more .

Completely forgot to update, that cub that was 9/15 and got the Slot 4: Sunspot Undercover was kinged and named Aurelius VII. Bred him to a Slot 1: Goridhe Siamese lady and ended up with a 9/15 lion with the marking passed. Bred her to Aurelius VII in hopes of breeding another heir. Used some Powders and Salts I believe and just ended up cloning the mom, getting all the attributes and markings as the mom but no Slot 4: Sunspot Undercover passing unfortunately.

Will take a break for a few days from spending more until I purchase some more. Until then, will start killing off some of my 2/15-4/15 lions that I don't really need anymore. Need more space in my den and with having to claim NCL's for the event and getting Groupies, I'm finding myself running out of space in my den. I have 85+ territory slots and I'm still struggling haha.

Also want to replace my side stud with another more BO heavy and more valuable stud and will need to save up for that. So may spend a week naturally breeding my project lions rather than using items to prevent the spending of currency to purchase an heir.
