March 15th!

Dear Lovely Liodeners!
Lioden opened to public beta on March 15th 2013, and today we mark a whole year of our development and your support. We've come a long way that year. We opened a whole new kind of explore, revamped hunting, introduced new manes and markings, sub males, raffles, public events..! And those are just big things, among many other improvements. With your help and ideas we changed the game a lot since its opening and we hope this will continue as we progress.

Many of you forget, or don't even know, we're still in Beta. This means the basic features of the game are still being redone to improve playerbase experience. We hope to put an end to Beta phase when we finish a whole new framework, fertility, PvP and battling system. Getting out of Beta won't mean the end of development, as games like ours thrive on constant improving.

We'd like to thank you for being with us all this time, and introduce a new item called "Meat Pie". It's a celebration item that every player will acquire once per year on the date they joined Lioden. It'll boost your energy to 100% and has 5 uses!

As today also passes half of the month we'd like to inform you what Organisation we'll be donating part of our income to:
IAPF.org

They interact with CITES, they've been featured in Ted Talks, Time Mag, 60 Minutes, Nat Geo, they list what donations buy for the organization (fuel, darts, med kits, etc), they're very active and very successful. The owner, Damien Mander is ex-navy and gave up his entire career and life-savings to work against poaching.
They also address the markets and laws for rhino trade: LINK

We feel very strongly about this event and every year it will come back with more impact on Lioden.

It's also very possible that Lioden poachers aren't defeated just yet..! Stay tuned! :o
