Velile

Velile and Grandpaw Pitch are playing on the outskirts of your pride's home. Grandpaw Pitch is playing the bad guy, and when Velile manages to get their teeth and claws snagged in Grandpaw Pitch's mane, the old lion "dies" very dramatically, flopping onto his grandcub, who squeals in delight and declares that they are the king now.

Velile was watching you intently as you told her your plans for watching the border tomorrow. She seems unconvinced you can pull it off, however. Sigh.

You sit next to Velile to see how she's doing. She leans in to whisper her suspicions about another pride mate. Perhaps it bears watching?

Velile was born to Meshindi and Sebaga towards the end of the Great Hunger, and so did not witness the worst of the times. She did grow up with Fikile, however, and spend her entire cubhood trying to defend anything she found from the larger female. She developed an instinctive distrust of every lion and became very good at evading conversations and disappearing before anyone could figure out where she had gone. She didn't cause any trouble at all during the Aphrodisia Time, as she never let any males close enough to her to initiate a conversation in the first place, and she skated by while most other females flirted.
