Pride of the Fire-Bringer
Under Amukelani's reign

Amukelani took control of the Pride while the stars fell and continued his father's work towards bringing down Apedemak. He never spoke much to the other lions of the Pride, and they were constantly uneasy around him. Slowly, those who could not contribute to the Pride or those who spoke out against the new King slowly disappeared, one by one. He took Apollyon's idea of rebirth through destruction to extreme levels and made it his mission to do to the Pridelands what Apollyon planned to do to the celestial realm. Amukelani's reign was marked by blood and smoke, and the Pride's days were dark and fearful.

Under Meshindi's reign

Meshindi (formerly Finis) took his place as King during the Great Hunger and was much more willing to take drastic measures to ensure the Pride's survival than his father. He chased away every member of the Pride that could not contribute and even though his methods were extreme, the Pride survived the Great Hunger with relative ease. He was much more promiscuous than his father as well, and produced cubs with many lionesses outside of the Pride.

Pride of the Golden Sun

Under Pitch's reign

Pitch ruled justly after witnessing the end of Flux's dark reign and refused to kill other lions, unless it was a matter of life or death. The Pride flourished under Pitch's rule and continuously expanded since his takeover. Under Pitch's rule, the Pride began the tradition of giving its members "second names", or titles, which reference aspects of each lion's personality or appearance once they come of age. Pitch also began the tradition of naming each heir King when they reached their 5th year. The Pride of Golden Sun used to occupy a rather large area of savannah. Pitch temporarily relocated the Pride to the sand lands to escape the floodwaters, but when the floods finally ended they returned to their home to rebuild. Since the fires began and water became scarce, Pitch once again moved the Pride to a small waterhole in the hopes that what little water that was left could sustain them. Many lions died in the fires, however, and the Pride waited some months to rebuild before returning to the savannah.
