The Story of Cephissus

Cephissus was born to Pontus and Thalassa. His parents being titan gods of the sea set him up for a life ruling water. He quickly became ruler of the Eponymous River in Greece, as a river god he served to bring life to the Attica region by providing fresh potable water, fish, and plants. He had three daughters, Lilaea, Daulis, and Melaeno, along with two sons Eteocles who became king of Orcheomenus, and Narcissius who famously fell in love with his reflection.
