Once a friendly and peaceful tribe, the Tribe of Warm Water (formerly known as Tribe of Lightning Strike) has undergone many changes in the seasons since its foundation. Uncertainty flows throughout the tribe in waves, and with most of the original pride passed on or getting ready to pass on, the younger generation is worried about the direction of where their home is going to go.

An outsider cub, Sunset was born and raised with the morals that their tribe used to have, used to honor. She was disgusted with how Cobra was running the pride and the lionesses she allowed to dominate through it's ranks. She made herself sure as a young cub that someday she would be the one to take over the pride and turn it back toward its correct destination. Carefully, Sunset began creating an honor guard, lionesses that supported her views and wishes to turn the tribe back to something better.

It was sheer dumb luck that Sunset managed to overthrow Cobra and take her rightful spot as queen of the pride. The droughts and hunger combined with the ravaging the locusts were doing left Cobra weaker than she liked to admit. Sunset, young and in her prime (and with the help of her selected crew), they felt brave enough one hot afternoon to strike, and remove Cobra from the pedestal she sat herself upon. Sunset and her honor guard were expecting Cobra to go down snarling, and while they sustained a fair number of injuries, Sunset and her group came out on top with relative ease. As it turns out, Cobra, at her age, was losing her sight as well. This was news to the tribe, but not bad news.

Now comfortably snug in her throne, Sunset is still weeding out the lionesses who silently support Cobra and her ways, giving them every chance possible at redemption before exiling them. Cobra remains weakened and under the watchful eye of Sunset's chosen confidants.
